Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main purpose by applying for the waiter position, explaining that you have completed a BBS bachelor’s degree, mentioning four years of hotel experience, and saying you are available for an interview. However, the response only partially fulfils the task: your current situation is not clearly distinguished from your availability, and you give little detail about how your experience makes you suitable, such as customer service or teamwork skills. You also do not identify a specific interview time or provide a suitable formal closing. The response is 112 words, below the required 150, so the application feels underdeveloped. Add relevant examples and complete each requested point more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The reader can follow the basic sequence: you refer to the advertisement, introduce your background and experience, then state your availability. This gives the letter some organisation. However, the ideas are compressed into one main block, with no clear paragraphing or distinct stages. Linking is limited and sometimes awkward: “furthermore” joins your experience to a repeated claim of suitability, while “so” introduces availability without a clear transition. The final sentence combines your current situation, interview availability, a request for a response and thanks. Separate these functions into short paragraphs and use simple, accurate transitions so the progression is clearer and less repetitive.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the purpose and some relevant information, including “advertisement,” “suitable,” “worked in hotel,” and “attend.” However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors reduce the professional tone expected in an application: “Hlo,” “fot,” “responce,” and “postivie” are difficult to accept in formal writing. Phrases such as “I can win your trust with my work” and “positive answer for your side” are not natural ways to express your strengths or request a reply. Use more precise employment vocabulary and check spelling carefully; for example, describe your customer-service experience rather than making a general claim about trust.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Most of the response relies on short, simple statements, and attempts to connect ideas into longer sentences are not consistently controlled. Verb forms are a recurring problem: “I just complete my bachelor” and “I had recently complete my bachelor” need appropriate tense and participle forms. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in “worked in hotel since 4 years,” as well as punctuation and capitalisation, such as the lowercase “i” and the run-on final sentence. These errors sometimes make the timing and relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate present perfect and past forms, and divide longer thoughts into complete sentences with clear punctuation.
