Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the three requested points: you explain that you are studying and seeking part-time work, describe qualities such as being friendly, responsible and able to work in a team, and give an interview time after 2 p.m. These details make the application relevant. However, the suitability points are mostly listed rather than supported with examples, and the reason for wanting the job is repeated as “improving my professional skills” without explaining what experience or abilities you can offer the restaurant. The interview arrangement is also unclear because “when you will call me” does not specify how the restaurant should contact you. Develop one or two qualities with brief evidence and state your availability more directly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening application, a paragraph about your current situation, a paragraph on suitability, and a closing about interview availability. This overall arrangement helps the reader follow your purpose. Linking expressions such as “Currently,” “Furthermore,” and “because” also show attempts to connect ideas. However, some connections feel mechanical or unclear, particularly the long sentence beginning “Currently, i am doing study,” where several reasons and ideas run together. The suitability paragraph also shifts abruptly from strengths to “Although, i may need some training.” Use shorter, clearly focused sentences and make the relationship between ideas explicit. A conventional closing paragraph and clearer separation of the interview details would make the progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for an application, including “position,” “customers,” “part of a team,” “training,” and “interview.” These choices communicate the general purpose and some useful qualities. However, the range is limited and several spelling errors or inaccurate expressions make the letter less professional, such as “news paper,” “resutrants,” “oppunity,” “heardworker,” and “avaible.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “i want to this job” and “doing really work hard.” Choose standard job-application collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe yourself as a “hard-working” person and say you are “seeking a part-time position” rather than repeating that you want the job to improve your skills.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the reader can generally understand your main message. However, control is uneven, especially in the longer sentences, and errors in sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I really want to this job” is missing a verb pattern, while “Currently, i am doing study” needs a more accurate structure. The sentence about being available also combines clauses awkwardly: “so when you will call me for the interview i will be availbe on time.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries need attention as well. Practise accurate basic patterns first, then build longer sentences with clear clause structure and correct punctuation.
