Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose by applying for the waitress position, explaining that you currently work as a waitress, and offering Friday and Saturday for an interview. However, the response is substantially under the required 150 words, so the application is only partially developed. Suitability is asserted mainly through “four years plus” of experience, with little detail about relevant qualities or duties; the claim that the restaurant is a short bus ride away explains convenience rather than your ability to do the work. Add specific examples, such as customer-service skills, handling busy periods, or teamwork, and give a clear interview time or date.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a recognisable application format, and its information is broadly ordered from the application and current work to availability and closing. This gives the reader a basic sense of purpose. However, the body is compressed into one short paragraph, so the points are not clearly developed or grouped. The phrase “and below is my contact details” promises information that is not actually provided, which weakens the connection between ideas. Use separate paragraphs for your current situation and suitability, then interview availability, and include contact details if you refer to them. More explicit links between these points would create clearer progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the basic purpose of the letter, with relevant terms such as “apply,” “waitress,” “experience,” and “interview.” However, the range is limited, and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less professional: “relavent experiane,” “retaurant,” and “intervie.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “four years plus since 2021 to till date” and “looking forward for the opportunity.” Choose concise, conventional expressions for a job application and check spelling carefully. You could also use more precise language to describe customer service, reliability, or working under pressure rather than relying mainly on the general claim of experience.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response relies mostly on short, simple statements, with little variety in sentence structure. Some sentences communicate the intended meaning, but frequent grammatical errors reduce accuracy. For example, “as i have a relavent experiane” needs a capital “I” and a correctly formed clause, while “The advertised restaurant a short bus ride away” is missing a verb such as “is.” In “I'm available for intervie on friday and saturday,” the days need capital letters, and the sentence would be clearer with a specific time or date. Practise complete sentence patterns, articles, verb forms, and punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a subject and verb.
