Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three requested points: you explain that you are studying English, describe qualities relevant to waiting work, and offer to attend an interview in the afternoon. The application purpose is clear, and the closing is appropriate. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. Your suitability is supported by qualities such as being hardworking, communicating well, and learning quickly, but a brief example—such as previous customer-service experience or how you handle a busy shift—would make this claim more convincing. The reason for wanting the job is also quite general. Develop these points with specific, relevant details while keeping the focus on your application.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it opens with the application, moves to your current studies and suitability, then gives interview availability and closes politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “Currently” and “In addition” signal progression. This is a coherent structure, though some connections are awkward or mechanical. For example, “I consider myself suitable…” is followed by several qualities in a crowded sentence, while “however how bad the situation is” makes the relationship between ideas unclear. Separate the qualities into clearer sentences and use linking expressions that show the intended contrast or result precisely. This would make the progression smoother and more controlled.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main purpose and relevant qualities, including “practical experience,” “hospitality industry,” and “professional skills.” These choices suit a job application, and the reader can generally understand your meaning. However, the range is limited, and noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: “valueable,” “news paper,” “suitable canditate,” and “service costumers” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “give my the best version of myself.” Aim for accurate, conventional application language and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for customer service and handling pressure would help you describe your suitability with greater flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple sentences and longer structures, including the relative clause in “which I believe will help me develop useful professional skills” and the conditional idea in “although I would be happy to arrange a suitable time.” The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction, articles, and prepositions. For instance, “I am writing this letter for applying for position” needs a more accurate verb pattern and article, and “I can face with it” uses an incorrect construction. The sentence beginning “I consider myself suitable…” also lacks a clear grammatical structure around the list of qualities. Practise accurate application phrases and divide long sentences where needed.
