Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three requested points: you explain that you are currently working as a waiter, give relevant qualifications and experience, and state your interview availability. The details about your hotel-management degree, internship, and employee-of-the-month awards make your application relevant and persuasive. This meets the lower-band expectation of covering the task and shows some stronger development through specific evidence. However, the current duties are only briefly described, and the interview arrangement could be more complete—for example, you could invite the restaurant to suggest another time if needed. The opening also needs a clearer reference to the advertised vacancy. Developing these points would make the response more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a sensible overall order: application, background and suitability, interview availability, and closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish the main stages, and expressions such as “Moreover” signal an additional qualification. However, the progression is sometimes mechanical, with several achievements packed into one paragraph and linked mainly by “and” or “Moreover.” The relationship between your studies, internship, and current role could be made clearer with more deliberate sequencing. Some punctuation and capitalisation also interrupt the flow, such as the comma before “Which” and the capitalised “In” after a sentence boundary. Use shorter, clearly connected sentences and consistent paragraphing to make the letter easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant employment vocabulary, including “hotel management,” “internship,” “employee of the month,” and “in-person interview,” which communicates your experience and suitability. There is also some attempt at more specific language, such as “dedication to work.” However, spelling errors are noticeable throughout, including “newpaper,” “experiance,” “hospility,” and “candicate,” and some word combinations are unnatural, such as “post of waiter” and “on basis or my dedication.” These errors reduce the precision and professional tone expected in a job application, even though the main meaning remains understandable. Proofread spelling carefully and choose conventional application phrases, such as “the advertised waiter position” and “in recognition of my dedication.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response includes both simple sentences and some attempts at longer structures, for example the sentence beginning “I am recent graduate…” and the explanation of how your studies led to an internship. The main information is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Articles are missing in “I am recent graduate” and “with master degree”; the relative clause in “Which is published” is incorrectly capitalised and punctuated; and “which help to get” has an agreement and sentence-construction problem. The phrase “make me an suitable candidate” also has an article error. These are some errors rather than barriers to understanding, but they limit accuracy. Practise articles, subject–verb agreement, and joining clauses with correct punctuation.
