Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the main purpose by applying for the waiter position, explaining that you currently work as a waiter in Pune, and describing relevant experience and skills. The four years of experience, hotel-management studies, communication ability, and knowledge of food service are useful details. However, the suitability points are mostly listed rather than explained with a specific example, and the interview point is not completed: “when i come the interview” does not give a clear time or availability. The closing also ends unfinished, so the reader is left without a clear request for an interview. Develop these points and state a definite time or range when you can attend.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic sequence: application, current work and studies, relevant skills, and an attempted interview request. This gives the reader some sense of the letter’s purpose. However, the progression is not consistently clear because several ideas are crowded into one long skills paragraph, while the final sentence is incomplete. Connections such as “as well” and “and” are repeated or used awkwardly, and there is no clear closing or sign-off. Use separate paragraphs for your current situation, suitability, and interview availability, and connect each point with simple, accurate transitions. A complete opening and closing would also make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant job-related vocabulary, including “waiter position,” “food service,” “communication skill,” and “beverages,” so the reader can identify your experience and intended role. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “experoance,” “guest handaling,” “strees full time,” and “meun planing.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “maintain job responsibilty.” Choose accurate, conventional expressions for hospitality work and check spelling carefully. For example, describe how you “handle busy periods” and provide “menu-planning” knowledge rather than relying on unclear phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts a few longer sentences to combine your experience and skills, but most structures are simple, and the longer attempts are often difficult to follow. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in “i am apply,” “i am do the this waiter post,” and “when i come the interview.” Articles and sentence boundaries are also missing or inaccurate, as in “working as a waiter in hotel in pune.” These problems sometimes obscure your meaning, particularly in the final request. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, for example, “I am currently working as a waiter at a hotel in Pune” and “I am available for an interview on…”
