Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three requested points: you explain that you are studying computer science and working part-time as a waiter, give relevant experience and language skills, and state that you are available for an interview between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. You also make your purpose clear from the subject line and opening. The strongest support for your suitability is your two years in the field and three employee-of-the-month awards. However, some details are less fully developed: you do not explain what your waiter duties or achievements involved, and “any day in full week” is not a precise interview arrangement. A more direct, professional closing and a clearer account of your experience would make the application more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a generally sensible order: application purpose, current activities, suitability, and interview availability. This makes the letter understandable overall, and the separate sections help identify its main parts. However, the body is presented largely as one continuous block, so the shift from your studies to your work experience and then to your language skills could be easier to follow with distinct paragraphs. Linking expressions such as “moreover” and “in addition” are repeated and sometimes make the sentences feel mechanically joined. The reference “These details” is also vague after several different claims. Use shorter paragraphs, vary the transitions, and make references explicit—for example, “My experience and language skills would help me serve international customers.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for a job application, including “suitable candidate,” “Employee of the month,” “part-time job,” and “interview.” These choices communicate your experience and strengths. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “resturant,” “particular,” “costumers,” and “diffrent,” which reduce the professional impression. Some expressions are also awkward or too informal for an application: “a tip of the iceberg” does not clearly explain your qualifications, while “positive feedback” is less natural than a direct request for a response. Aim for accurate spelling and conventional application language, and choose precise terms such as “customers” and “hospitality experience” rather than relying on broad or idiomatic phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The response includes both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, such as the sentence connecting your language skills with serving customers from different countries. The main message remains clear, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “I am applying in you restaurant” has an incorrect preposition and missing possessive form; “I was looking” would be more appropriate as “I have been looking” in this context; and “I am in this field from almost 2 years” needs a present-perfect construction with “for.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly where a full stop is followed immediately by “i.” Review articles, verb forms, prepositions, and capitalization, then divide long sentences to improve control.
