Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the three requested points: you explain that you are a student seeking work, describe language skills and a polite manner, and say you are available for an interview “in 2 days.” These details make the application relevant, but the suitability points are not fully developed: for example, you do not give a specific example of customer-service experience or explain how your language skills would help the restaurant. The interview timing is also somewhat unclear, as it could mean you are available in two days rather than offering a specific time. The response therefore covers the task, but some information remains limited or unclear. A clearer statement of your current studies and more concrete evidence of suitability would strengthen it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The ideas follow a broadly understandable order: your current situation comes first, followed by your language ability and personal qualities, then interview availability. This gives the reader an overall sense of your application. However, the repeated use of “Furthermore” and “In addition” makes the links feel mechanical, and “However” does not express a clear contrast in the sentence about being gracious. The response is also presented as one continuous block, so the different points are not visually separated. Use a conventional letter structure with an opening, separate paragraphs for your circumstances and suitability, and a closing. More precise links between ideas would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for an application, including “different languages,” “guests,” “polite,” and “interview.” However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to understand. For instance, “recipe of the customers” does not convey the intended meaning of taking customers’ orders, while “share it with the chief” is not the natural way to describe passing orders to kitchen staff. “Advertise” is also used where “advertisement” is needed, and errors such as “speake,” “recive,” and “alwasys” reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of service-related expressions and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer sentence forms, such as the sentence beginning “Furthermore, I was searching for a job,” and uses clauses with “because” and “not only…but also.” However, these structures are often faulty, and the range remains limited. For example, “I was searching for a job that I faced with your advertise” has an unclear clause structure; “I can work with you and be as waiter” is missing an article and uses an awkward construction; and “I am ready for interview in 2 days” also needs an article. The final sentence combines several ideas without clear grammatical control. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
