Student answer (Band 6.5)
For ages, people have been visiting different regions of the world for relaxing their minds. Students also doing this activity for the peace of their mind and making memories for their future. I strongly agree with this notion that students should take some break before starting their university life for some reasons.
Firstly, after doing hard study for years without any break make the students less focused and this thing lose their intrest for their next learning phase. Usually the studies at a university includes research works which require great attention. For example, in Germany the students offen took some break before starting their higher education and this activity helps them to stand out in research works with their rivals in terms for innovations.
Secondly, studying for years without break offen disconnect students from nature. However, a rest from educational activities and enjoying nature by visiting different regions around the globe will be so much benificial for them. For instance, a recent research, explain that exploring natural views and places can help us to increase our ability to think better and improve many brain activities which enable us to work at difficult tasks and make our learning process fast.
In conclusion, I strongly agree with this point that students should take rest after studying for so long period and they should do some tours or other physical activities before starting their next stage of learning. However, in some cases where some students managed to do physical activities along with their recent studies can resume the university right after the completion of the college phase.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You have provided relevant reasons for taking a gap year, such as mental rejuvenation and the benefits of nature. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding Germany is vague and lacks a direct link to how a gap year specifically improves research innovation. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting examples are more detailed and directly explain the 'how' and 'why' behind your arguments. The conclusion introduces a slight contradiction by suggesting some students might not need a break, which slightly weakens the clarity of your overall stance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear topic sentence. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally imprecise (e.g., 'this thing lose their intrest'). To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the transition between the main body and the conclusion could be smoother to better reflect the development of your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'rejuvenation' or 'innovations', but there are also consistent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'doing hard study' instead of 'studying hard' and 'offen took' instead of 'often take'. Spelling errors like 'intrest' and 'benificial' also occur. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and proofreading for basic spelling mistakes, as these errors occasionally distract the reader from your message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'studies... includes'), incorrect verb tenses (e.g., 'students offen took'), and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'in terms for innovations'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent tense usage. Incorporating more complex structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, would help, provided they are used accurately.
