Student answer (Band 5.5)

Young students take a breat just after completing their schooling, and gain industry exposure and travel across the world. they are become skilled workers that benificial after back to continouse learning. I largely agree with this view, although it should be combined with other measure to achieve the best results.

On the one hand, having a predominantly youg population often require better occupation for future career because company less intertive with the freshers they always asked about professional workers. Yet, individuals are seeking for job opportunity and gain industy exposure and knowladge. Thus, Government often invest substantial public fund in educating students for intership programme so they can boost learning and became specialist in perticular feild which they want to pursue in their future.

On the other hand, the benifits of a youthful population are far more significant. A large workforce contributes directly to economic growth by increasing productivity, boosting tax revenues, and encourging investment. In addition, youger generation are generally more adaptable to technology advancements and are more likely to establish innovative business, thereby driving entrepreneurship and economic compititiveness. For example, many rapidly developing countrie have experiesed remarkable economic expantion due to their young and highly productive labour forces.

In conclusion, I completely agree about take break before admit in qulification it leads to gain industry exposure so they become a qulified and skilled individual for their further studies. Somewhere it is also help to the provide economicaly befinifical for the developing countries, that is part of sustainable soultion for the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position on taking a gap year. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the second paragraph attempts to discuss the benefits of work experience, it becomes somewhat confused by introducing government funding and internship programs, which are not directly related to the student's personal choice to take a gap year. The third paragraph shifts focus to the economic benefits of a youthful population in general, rather than focusing on the individual benefits of a gap year as requested. Consequently, the argument is not fully extended or consistently focused on the specific task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the logical progression of ideas is often hindered by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For instance, the transition 'Thus, Government often invest...' does not logically follow the previous sentence about job opportunities. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', but they are sometimes applied to arguments that do not clearly support the main thesis. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's train of thought throughout the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is limited and there are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'breat' (break), 'benificial' (beneficial), 'intertive' (interactive), 'knowladge' (knowledge), and 'qulification' (qualification). These errors are noticeable and occasionally cause the reader to pause, though the general meaning remains discernible. The student attempts to use some academic vocabulary, such as 'entrepreneurship' and 'competitiveness', but the overall control is weak. To reach a higher band, the student needs to focus on accurate spelling and more precise word choices to convey their ideas more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies on a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is low. There are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('they are become skilled', 'young population often require'), incorrect verb forms ('they always asked'), and awkward sentence construction ('it is also help to the provide'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the student attempts complex sentences, the high frequency of errors often impedes the flow of the text. A greater focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips is essential for improvement.
