Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience
Student answer (Band 5.0)
I would rather agree or disagree to some extent. Because in every situation there would be two paths not the same ones and on every decision you would face some serious issues or might be some very delightful charms .
If you are hoping to take a break for one year and gain some skills that would be very helpful and also very suitable for you and let you to live your future successfully and with that it would also become very helpful to live your professional life because in every site they would encounter your degree but more they would do is to see what you have in yourself and how many work experience does you hold in yourself and by year gaping it could be done
But as i mentioned that there could be some issues if you follow that path of your life because if you choose it then you would come one year back of your life it means you would complete your degree one year late and also it could also make to start your desired job one year late and the main effect it could make is that you would not able to continue your study life as you were doing in your last year and this would be the main factor which could backup you and you would not able to get those which you wanted to achieve.
At the end the decision is up to you that you wanted to complete your study life successfully or let yourself to increase your work experience because as I mentioned in every act there would be consequences.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response presents a clear position in the introduction regarding the benefits and drawbacks of taking a gap year. However, the main ideas presented are not fully developed and lack specific examples. There is an attempt to explore both sides but the arguments are somewhat vague, which weakens the overall argument. Suggestions for relevant examples or more detailed points would improve clarity and depth.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The organization of ideas is somewhat unclear, leading to disruptions in the flow of the response. For example, the transition between discussing the benefits and the drawbacks is not smooth. Phrases like "as I mentioned" could be more effectively linked with clear transitions. To enhance coherence, the student should consider using clear topic sentences for each paragraph and logical connectors to guide the reader.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited, with several awkward phrases such as "let you to live your future successfully" and "back your study life successfully" that obscure meaning. Additionally, words like 'very helpful' and 'gaining skills' lack precision. A broader range of academic vocabulary would significantly enhance the quality of the writing, showcasing a more sophisticated use of language appropriate for an academic setting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
Grammatical errors are scattered throughout the writing, impacting clarity. For example, phrases like "would be very helpful and also very suitable for you" lack proper structure. Some sentences are overly complex and could benefit from simplification. Additionally, issues with subject-verb agreement and awkward phrasing make it difficult to follow certain points. Careful proofreading for grammar and syntax would be beneficial.
Overall feedback
The response illustrates an understanding of the topic and attempts to present both sides of the argument. However, more specific examples are needed to strengthen your points and enhance persuasiveness. Improving coherence by using clearer topic sentences and logical connectors will help the reader follow your argument more easily. Furthermore, expanding your vocabulary and improving grammatical accuracy would greatly enhance your score. Practicing essay structure and language use will benefit your overall writing.
