Student answer (Band 5.0)

Although the gap between school and university study is not beneficial for young people but most of them are choosing to gain work experience or to travel after expect to continue their academic journey.

According to my perspective, work experience is beneficial choice after school study, but some individuals never understand without higher education they cannot gain professional experience in their field so, I rigidly disagree with this statement. When we take log gap between two degrees might you can lose you strategy and interest in study then you had previous.

Furthermore, some people are facing different issues in their life and cannot afford the higher study then they prefer to gain work experience to collect budget for universities fee.

On the other hand, number of young students travel out of countries to gain international experience and knowledge after school study but it is not beneficial for them because school study gives the basic knowledge and to get professional knowledge, we can require the higher education. When young choose the work after school might they success to achieve better knowledge in their field but for ranked up they required higher education degree.

Nevertheless, we should need to manage the task when we are in rhythm and when we lose strategy

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state a position, the arguments are often contradictory or unclear. For instance, you mention that work experience is a 'beneficial choice' but then state you 'rigidly disagree' with the idea that a gap year is beneficial. The essay lacks sufficient supporting examples and logical development, leading to an underdeveloped response that does not fully address the prompt's complexities. To improve, ensure you provide clear, consistent arguments and expand on your points with specific examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by confusing transitions and unclear sentence structures. While some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'On the other hand' are used, they do not always connect ideas logically. The progression of thought is often disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. The final paragraph is particularly abrupt and does not provide a clear conclusion. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would greatly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and incorrect word choices, such as 'collect budget for universities fee' and 'ranked up'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including collocations and topic-specific terminology, and focus on using words in their correct context rather than relying on basic, sometimes inaccurate, expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and sentence structure. For example, 'might you can lose you strategy' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The range of structures is limited, and the errors are frequent enough to cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect pronouns. Practicing complex sentence structures will also help you demonstrate a better command of English grammar.
