Student answer (Band 4.5)
Nowadays many abults are moving abroad after ompleting their secondary education to travel and to learn new skills or something else. having skills is importain but without education or higer degree that will be difficult to spent their life style as their dream. i agree that learning skills and travelling to new palces is worth but just after school it can have several disadvantage also. the given essay will expalin my opinion for this point.
The one denefit to having skills on younger can helps people to be independent however they will also learn to survive alone which make them responsible, social. so they can understand the difficulty and also have confidence to face every situation revelent to them. for example when abults travel that will be beneficial for economic of country and if children have new skills than they will earn income from their earlier age so they will save and keept for their future. therefore, exploring, travelling and learning skills is importain and beneficial for people.
may it have several advantage but it also have disadvantage one major disavantage is,if anyone earn money on earier than they will make their mind or sense like they cna earn money without having education or degree certificate so they will stopped study which makes them regrate latter. if children join their class immeditely after competing school instead of travelling or learning new skills that can mke them sucessful one day or they wil uild their career appropriately so they dont have to work as a staff they can have their own company or business . just after completing school students can learn and read quiclkly which helps to leads their sucess. for example when person spent their aulthood on abroad as they can work or untill they have power on their body when they become old they will be unable do anything . therefore, having degree r educated life is more importain or it have palyed an crucia role towards people life.
in conclusion, learning skills and travelling to world or different country is not worst but education is also importain towards people to ahve a sucessful life so both should be balanced.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The student addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of taking a gap year before university, taking a somewhat nuanced final stance that education and experience should be balanced. However, the position is not always clearly sustained throughout, and some ideas are repetitive or under-developed. For example, the student writes 'the given essay will expalin my opinion for this point' but then mixes arguments without fully expanding on how non-academic life specifically benefits university performance. While all parts of the task are touched upon, the lack of deep exploration and occasional drifting into general statements about earning money places this performance at Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is organized into paragraphs, including an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is frequently disrupted by poor cohesive devices and mechanical links such as 'the one denefit' and 'may it have several advantage'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the transitions between ideas are abrupt and confusing. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly with pronouns like 'them' or 'they' referring back to ambiguous nouns. Overall arrangement shows some basic organization, but cohesion is inadequate and repetitive, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The student demonstrates a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task. There are frequent spelling mistakes ('abults', 'ompleting', 'importain', 'higer', 'denefit', 'revelent', 'earier', 'regrate', 'immeditely', 'quiclkly', 'crucia', 'worst') and word choice errors ('spent their life style', 'have power on their body'). While the student attempts some less common terms like 'independent', 'responsible', and 'balanced', the high density of spelling and lexical errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader, aligning closely with Band 4.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but these attempts are frequently faulty and fraught with grammatical errors. Run-on sentences and comma splices are common, such as in the opening paragraph: 'having skills is importain but without education or higer degree that will be difficult to spent their life style as their dream.' Subject-verb agreement errors, tense inconsistencies, and structural awkwardness ('if anyone earn money on earier than they will make their mind or sense') appear throughout the text. These frequent errors cause substantial difficulty for the reader and reflect a Band 4.0 level.
