Student answer (Band 5.0)
Since, the very young age a child is bounded with the schooling environment from 9 to 4. This results the thinking perspective of that child between the school and the outside world. In this essay I will be describing a child's schooling perspective and outside world perspective which will make you clear regarding how well is a child informed about the outer world by the time he/she completes his/her school level, along with my reasons that supports my agreement which is, I totally agree with the statement "The experience of non-academic life offers a broader outside world perspective to individual before stepping up to university".
What a children's school life looks like in simple words, wake up - have dinner - get your things ready and head to school where you stay whole day to get information on books. So, in this overall process there is no involvement of outside world activity which significantly decreases the experience of several things that a young people could get if he/she was involved with society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count of 250 words, stopping abruptly at only 187 words. Because of this severe under-length, the task cannot be fully developed. Although the student attempts to introduce the topic and state their agreement with the prompt, the body paragraphs remain heavily truncated. The second paragraph touches upon the rigid nature of traditional schooling, but it lacks concrete examples or full extension of ideas. The third paragraph is incomplete, breaking off mid-thought. As a result, the position is not fully explored, and the arguments are underdeveloped, landing the response firmly in the lower-middle band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays some organizational structure, including an introductory paragraph that outlines the writer's intent and position. However, overall progression is heavily disrupted because the essay is incomplete. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph consists of only a single unfinished sentence ('And talking about the other part, if a people has got the proper schooling with'), which severely undermines logical flow and paragraph unity. Cohesive devices are minimal and basic, such as 'And talking about the other part', which reads more like spoken conversational English than academic writing. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the lack of a concluding section leaves the overall structure disjointed and truncated.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, reflecting a limited range suited to simple communication. The student employs common phrases like 'schooling environment', 'outer world', and 'work experience', but struggles with precise word choice and collocation. For example, phrases like 'bounded with the schooling environment' and 'thinking perspective of that child' are unnatural and awkward. There are also noticeable lexical inaccuracies, such as using 'a young people' instead of 'young people'. While the language is mostly understandable despite these limitations, the lack of varied or less common lexical items restricts the score to the lower range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors and awkward phrasings throughout the text. Examples include 'Since, the very young age a child is bounded' (incorrect punctuation and preposition choice), 'This results the thinking perspective' (missing preposition), and 'how well is a child informed' (improper dependent clause word order). Furthermore, articles are frequently misused or omitted. While some sentences are grammatically acceptable, the high density of errors and awkward structures frequently interrupts readability and reflects a limited control over complex syntactic structures.
