Student answer (Band 5.0)
When the students complete their secondary education in relative schools, some of them want to take a rest as they consider it a relief after a long period of their life. On the other hand, a large number of students are those, who want to gain work experience in order to keep themselves busy. However, there is also a catogery of those ones who like to travel, as they plan to go foreign countries to visit different places.
We will discuss here the second catogery of students. These students look really hardwork. They are very sincere to their future and do not want to waste a little time of their life. After school, they just start part time even full time jobs and works, in order to gain experience of the field respectively. They want to learn more and more from the experts of different firld and obviously this assists them in their whole life. Especially when they return to education.
From my perspective, it is such a wonderful idea. I am totally agreed as I also did the same thing. Doing something is too much better than roaming here and there or staying at home and wasting your time. My elder brother started teaching after his school. He did this job for 2 years. In the early days, very few students came but with the passage of time they increased. When he applied to university for higher education, his experience helped him alot. He became lecturer of his unversity as he got graduated

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the trend of taking a gap year and focusing particularly on the benefits of gaining work experience. A clear personal position is presented, stating full agreement with the prompt's premise. However, the development of ideas lacks depth and relies heavily on generalisations rather than fully extended arguments or robust examples. The discussion jumps between introductory points and a narrow focus on work experience, leading to a somewhat fragmented progression of thought. While all parts of the task are addressed, the ideas are under-developed, placing this response at Band 5.5 for Task Achievement.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some structural organisation, featuring distinct paragraphs that attempt to introduce different categories of students and then focus on one. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor transitions and conversational asides, such as "We will discuss here the second catogery of students." Paragraphing is erratic, with unconventional spacing and sentences separated inappropriately. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical or inaccurate manner, as seen in the misuse of connectors like "However" and "On the other hand." Overall arrangement shows basic coherence, but referencing and logical flow are faulty, aligning with a Band 5.0 score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and heavily impacted by spelling errors and awkward phrasing. Words such as "catogery", "firld", and "hardwork" demonstrate a lack of precision and control. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary, inaccuracies in word choice and collocation are noticeable throughout the text, such as "keep themselves busy" and "waste a little time of their life." Vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic message, but frequent errors in spelling and word formation cause some difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptor.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and basic complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ("works" instead of "work"), missing articles, and awkward phrasing such as "I am totally agreed." Punctuation is also problematic in places. While simple sentences are generally understandable, frequent errors in more complex structures impede overall accuracy and readability, supporting a Band 5.0 score.
