Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a position—“I agree”—and give relevant reasons, including gaining skills, learning about other cultures and developing practical knowledge. However, these points are mostly asserted rather than explained, and several examples are difficult to understand, such as “how to progress and explore also involve diverse situation and how to solve.” The conclusion is also unclear: “I think book education than practical knowledge better” appears to conflict with your support for the benefits of non-academic experience. As a result, the response addresses the topic only minimally and does not develop a consistent, well-supported argument. The response contains 228 words, so it is 22 words below the required minimum; 38 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop one or two clear benefits with specific explanations and examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic sense of the intended organisation. However, progression within the paragraphs is difficult to follow because ideas shift abruptly—for example, the second paragraph moves from travel and language to economic growth, natural resources and job opportunities without showing how these points connect. Linking words such as “also” and “however” are repeated or do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. Some references, including “they” and “this statement,” are also unclear. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main benefit, explain it in a logical sequence, and use linking phrases only where their meaning is precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work experience,” “cultural,” “practical skills,” “job opportunities” and “learning system.” These choices show an effort to discuss education, travel and employment. However, the range is often repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or collocation sometimes makes the meaning hard to understand. For instance, “a numerous candidate increased their knowledge” and “they can process easily” do not communicate the intended ideas clearly. There are also spelling errors such as “Thye,” “skils,” “counery” and “opportuniries.” Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than adding more difficult vocabulary: check collocations, use precise nouns and verbs, and proofread spelling. This would make your ideas easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You use some simple sentence forms and attempt longer structures, including “When students decide to travel they can explore more ideas” and “because they can expand their knowledge.” However, sentence construction is frequently inaccurate, and errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning. Examples include missing or incorrect articles in “take year out,” subject–verb agreement in “A large number of people decide travel,” and incomplete or poorly joined sentences such as “many learner providing new experience also gain new skills.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly after full stops and at the start of paragraphs. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries. Greater control of these basics will help your ideas come across clearly.
