Student answer (Band 5.5)
Many young people around the globe, chooses to take a year break from studies and education. To tavel in different cities and places, or to learn a skill which will benefit them in their next student and professional life. I agree with that statement travel or learning skills and gaining experience can benefit a student.
Travelling accross different cities and places. However, they are mountains, beaches or ancient cities. By travelling here and there people can learn about different things, working of people, working of different traditions and cultures. Learn about how different type of people live and what they do for a living in old ancient times gain experience about different things and old artifacts.
In this time people adopt unique hobbies. Through which they can find target of their life they want to achieve. For instance, some people might adopt hobby of gardening, music, dancing or some might adopt hobby of collecting different artifacts, collecting ancient or historic things and collecting coins these can be all hobbies a person can adopt by exploring the world and then, take it as a profession. And then spent their whole life following different goals.
Furthermore, some people might work between this time to gain some experience, or to learn some sort of skill which they think can benefit them financially and in professional life to earn money. Some students learn machenical skills some reparing or some enterpreneur skills these might help them in future life. Most of the students decide to support them financially, thats why they persue in different type of courses and enroll in learning divergent skills and to gain experience in some sort of work.
Moreover, they can be more financially independent from other students, and they become more hardworking from others. For example, the international students who goes to other countries for study bear and met their financial requirements by themselves. Because in backhome they have skills in a distinct work and have competitive and hardworking nature.
In conclusion, I totally agree with the statement that many people who take a year out, this can benefit their whole life and by spending this 1 year doing hardwork, they can ease their whole life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you agree that a year away can be beneficial, and you give relevant reasons involving travel, discovering interests, and gaining work skills. The examples of learning mechanical or entrepreneurial skills and becoming financially independent help connect the topic to future life. However, the response only partly develops the task’s central claim about how non-academic experience benefits students when they return to education. Several points focus instead on lifelong goals or earning money, and the claim that travel teaches about “old ancient times” is not clearly explained. Develop fewer reasons in more depth, showing specifically how each experience improves motivation, maturity, or readiness for university, and support the examples with clearer explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, several body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and its ideas are generally grouped by topic: travel, hobbies, work experience, and financial independence. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” signal additions. However, progression is sometimes unclear because some paragraphs contain loosely connected points, and several sentence fragments interrupt the flow, including “Travelling accross different cities and places” and “Through which they can find target of their life.” The repeated use of additive transitions also makes the organisation feel mechanical. Build each paragraph around one main claim, explain it in a clear sequence, and use complete sentences and more precise references so readers can follow how each example supports your position.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “financially independent,” “professional life,” “traditions and cultures,” and “ancient artifacts.” These choices show an attempt to discuss travel, work, and personal development. However, the range is limited by repetition of general words such as “different,” “things,” “people,” and “skills,” while some combinations are unnatural or unclear, for example “find target of their life” and “ease their whole life.” Spelling errors such as “tavel,” “accross,” “machenical,” and “enterpreneur” are noticeable and reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise expressions and check spelling carefully; for instance, explain what specific abilities or insights students gain rather than repeatedly referring to “different things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple statements and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “which,” “because,” and “that.” This gives you some scope to explain reasons and examples. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and fragments make several ideas difficult to follow. For example, “Many young people around the globe, chooses” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “some people might adopt hobby” is missing an article. The opening of the second paragraph is also not a complete sentence, and “the international students who goes” has an agreement error. Work on forming complete sentences, checking singular and plural subjects, and using articles consistently. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would make your reasoning clearer before you attempt more complex structures.
