Student answer (Band 4.5)

Yes, Many young peoples which is completed their schools and then they thought they want to start a work expereince or do travel for exploring professional experience through work or gaining exposures through travel. On my opinion, Student have rights or this is a good thing to continue their studies or do experenices or knowledge from the culture environment but if student wants they start a professional expereince after completing school they have a better work or professional expereicne in the market which actually do all Rather than if student wants to go for travel for gaining exposures this also a good thing because the student knows all the cirriculum in the all market like if the student travel to other country they saw the local or international market that how they working in global market and which impact is this. Even the student do work after school and didn't start university they have extra limited options inshort they have almost zero way to grow their career because in this work they all wants to be a compitended student which have they higher studies from university then they offers a standardise job to grow the career. but if student stops thier education to school and start work this is a best way to gain professional expereince on the otherside if student do travel this is also a good option. But my preference is the student starts work to gaining market expereince and then start their university from weekend classes at all.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by discussing both work experience and travel, and your preference for working before university is visible near the end. However, the position is not consistently clear: you first say students may choose either option, then argue that stopping education for work leaves them with “almost zero way to grow their career,” before recommending work and weekend university classes. The benefits of non-academic experience are mentioned, such as learning about other cultures and the global market, but these points are not explained with specific examples or a clear link to how they help students when they return to education. Develop one consistent view, explain the benefits and possible drawbacks, and support each main reason with a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is an attempt to move from the two options to a personal preference, and linking expressions such as “because,” “but,” and “on the other side” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the introduction, supporting points, and conclusion. Ideas also shift abruptly—for example, the discussion moves from travel and global markets to limited career options, then back to work experience. Several connectors are repeated or used in ways that do not clarify the relationship between points. Organise the essay into clear paragraphs and give each paragraph one main purpose, using transitions to show how the ideas build on your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “work experience,” “professional experience,” “culture,” and “global market,” which helps communicate the general subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions, but inaccurate word choice, spelling, and repeated phrasing make parts difficult to understand. For instance, “gaining exposures” and “all the curriculum in the all market” do not express the intended ideas clearly, while “experience” is repeated frequently. Build a more reliable range of collocations for education, employment, and travel, and check spelling and word forms. More precise phrases would help you explain how a gap year develops skills, independence, or cultural awareness.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to form longer sentences using clauses and connectors, as in the sentence beginning “Even the student do work after school,” but these structures are often faulty and make the relationships between ideas hard to follow. Errors include subject–verb agreement (“student…they have”), verb forms (“they saw” in a general statement), articles and plurals, and sentence boundaries. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several ideas joined into very long sentences. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses. Check that subjects and verbs agree, use consistent tense for general claims, and punctuate each main idea clearly.
