Student answer (Band 5.5)
In todays world numbers of individuals prefer to take a break for year from school before finishing their studies and before starting university education in order to gain work experience or to travel. This experience offers numerous advantages. i strong agree with it that students should gain non academic which can them in their higher studies.
In many countires, a huge numbers of students start working, travelling before finishing school to gain work experience and working skills which leads to enhance their studies . This experience provides so many vital skills such as , student can know about society, which methods people use to work ,how industries , organisation works. Students can improve their personalities , by aquiring these skills .For instance, at the end of university studies stundent has to wrtie thiesis , about what he learned from higher studies he had to share his experience, for this students can mention his non academic experiences which can be ver benefical for his grades.
On the other hand, travelling and non academic experiences has few dropbacks, having gap from can lead to less constration, facing difficulties in reading, writing, and memorising. For example , once student have a break from studies he would not like to study agains ,students will start thinking studies are difficult as compares to travel for work or work. The reason is , freedom for travel, salary if he starts working, with that salary he can afford his basic needs so i started believe that money will help him to get whatever he wants but without education money he wont able to manage his finances, he won't able to invest because lack of knowledge.
In conclusion, Both aspects as their advantages and disadvantage but not having break from studies for non academic experience can be a significant disvantage because student will not be aware what is happening in the world and how world working.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view in favour of a year out, and you address both its benefits and possible drawbacks. The discussion of work and travel developing awareness of society and workplace skills is relevant, as is the concern that students may find it difficult to resume studying. However, the position is not fully consistent: you strongly agree at the start, but the conclusion says that not taking a break can be a disadvantage, which does not clearly restate your view. Several points are also under-developed. For example, the thesis example does not explain how non-academic experience would improve academic performance, and the concern about earning money and managing finances becomes difficult to follow. Explain each main reason with a specific, clearly connected example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the main sections. You also use basic signposts such as “For instance,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion.” However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and some links feel mechanical or do not show the relationship between ideas. The sentence beginning “The reason is” moves from freedom and salary to financial management without a clear chain of reasoning. References such as “this experience” and “for this students” are not always precise, while the conclusion does not clearly connect back to your stated agreement. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a logical sequence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “work experience,” “vital skills,” “industries,” “organisation,” and “finances.” These choices show an effort to discuss education, employment, and travel rather than relying only on very basic terms. However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable, sometimes making meaning harder to understand. Examples include “dropbacks” for drawbacks, “less constration” for reduced concentration, and “how industries, organisation works.” Some phrases, such as “gain non academic,” are incomplete or imprecise. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; use precise expressions such as “develop practical skills” and “adjust to academic study again.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with reasons and examples, including “This experience provides so many vital skills such as…” and the sentence beginning “The reason is…”. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently: “travelling and non academic experiences has” should use a plural verb, while “once student have a break” has problems with both the article and agreement. Several sentences run together, particularly the opening and the discussion of money, making relationships between clauses difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly joined supporting clause, then check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
