I agree that that many young individuals choose to take a year

out between completing high school and starting university in other to gain work experience to travel for instance you can see someone who want to futher his or her education outside nigeria such as health and social care, the person needs to gain a minimum of 1 year working experience in the healthcare sector in order to know what they need to know about working with patients.

Additionaly, gaining a knowlege before starting university helps individuals to have critical thinking ,have personal development. They can learn new things, become independence, they learn to make decisions and take responsibility for them selves.

Many people don't like to take one year gap, for instance someone who is wealthy can progress on his or her university journey in other to graduate on time.It makes it easier for the person because

In conclusion, being wealthy can make someone to continue his or education without any hindrance or any need to gain work experience but i strongly agree that taking a year gap can make people take a break from academic pressure, and they can work to save money to support their education.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You state a clear overall view—“I strongly agree”—and give relevant reasons, including work experience in healthcare, personal development, and saving money for education. However, the response addresses the topic only partially: the healthcare example is difficult to follow, and the point about wealthy students is introduced but left unfinished (“because”). The benefits of travel, mentioned in the prompt, are not developed, and several claims need specific explanation or examples. The response is also below the required 250 words: 223 words were counted, with nine words copied from the prompt excluded. Develop each reason fully and complete the comparison with students who continue directly to university.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is some basic organisation: an opening, paragraphs presenting reasons, and a conclusion. The reader can identify your main position, and words such as “Additionally,” “for instance,” and “In conclusion” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression is uneven. The paragraph about wealthy students ends abruptly with “because,” leaving the idea incomplete, while the conclusion repeats this point without resolving it. Some connections are unclear, particularly the shift from studying outside Nigeria to the need for healthcare work experience. Use one clear main idea per paragraph, explain how each example supports your position, and ensure every sentence is complete and linked logically.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “work experience,” “critical thinking,” “personal development,” and “academic pressure,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “healthcare sector” and “working with patients.” However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts less clear, including “annual out,” “futher,” “knowlege,” and “independence” where a noun is needed. Some phrases are also awkward, such as “progress on his or her university journey.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms; this will make your ideas easier to understand and more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, for example, “They can learn new things, become independent, they learn to make decisions…” and the sentence explaining healthcare work experience. However, the range is limited, and attempts to join several ideas often produce faulty or incomplete sentences. The opening has unclear sentence structure, and “Many people don’t like to take one year gap” is followed by a sentence that stops at “because.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “someone who want” and the comma splice in the list of personal-development benefits. Practise complete sentences and use conjunctions or full stops to separate related ideas.
