Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have identified the main trends in the data, such as the relationship between age, education, and time spent on activities. However, there is a significant factual error in your interpretation of the data: you state that women spend '37 hour per day' on leisure. Since there are only 24 hours in a day, this indicates a misunderstanding of the chart's units (likely hours per week). This error impacts the accuracy of your reporting. While you cover the main features, the analysis is slightly hampered by these inaccuracies in data interpretation. To improve, ensure you carefully check the units provided in the chart labels before drafting your summary.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organised into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs focusing on age and education respectively, and a concluding overview. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Furthermore', and 'Overall' to link ideas. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the transition between the age-based data and the education-based data could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal flow within paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect the specific data points more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'educational attainment', 'qualification', and 'significantly decreased'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'work related activities are also equally done' and 'starts on increasing'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To reach a higher band, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring that your vocabulary choices are contextually accurate, especially when describing trends and data relationships.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'women... spend' vs 'women... spent') and pluralisation (e.g., '35-44 year' instead of '35-44 years'). Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'increses'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical consistency, particularly regarding verb tenses and noun-number agreement, which will help you achieve a more polished and professional tone.
