Student answer (Band 6.0)
The following chart demonstrates the average hours spent by women in primart activities inluding work or work related activities, leisure or sports and the house hold activities in 2009. However women are catagorized by their education and age group.

Likewise this same pattern can also be observed among the women in early teen age and the women with post 75 years age.
Moreover women with ages 65 to 74 and even above years spends quit a few time of 6.9 and 7.3 hours per week on working and work related activities. Additionally age group 35 to 44 years gives almost equal time of 26.3 and 27.4 working hours a week to work and work related activites and leisure and sports respectively.
However women with qualification level less than a diploma spend most of their time like 43.1 hours a week on work activities. While on the other hand women with holding a bachelor's or higher degree spend almost 28.6 hours a week to the same work activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the chart, such as the comparison between education levels and age groups. However, the analysis is somewhat disjointed. While you identify key figures, the comparison is not always clear, and the grouping of data is occasionally confusing. For example, the mention of 'early teen age' is not supported by the data provided in the chart. To improve, ensure that you group information logically—perhaps by category (education vs. age)—and provide a more cohesive overview of the trends rather than listing isolated data points. The summary of the main features is present but lacks the analytical depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'However' at the start of the second paragraph is used incorrectly, as there is no contrast with the previous sentence. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which data points relate to which group. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words (e.g., 'in contrast', 'furthermore', 'consequently') would significantly enhance the flow and logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but there are several spelling errors ('primart', 'inluding', 'catagorized', 'house hold', 'quit') that detract from the professional tone. You demonstrate a basic range of vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'educational attainment' and 'work-related activities'. However, the range is limited, and there is a lack of more sophisticated or precise terminology. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and incorporating a wider range of topic-specific collocations to describe trends and data points more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('women... spends', 'age group... gives') and awkward phrasing ('women with holding a bachelor's'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with commas. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the clarity of your report. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and refining your sentence construction will help you achieve a higher level of accuracy and control.
