Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely limits the ability to address the task. While you have attempted to identify an overall trend, the response is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence. Because the task is not fully addressed and the data analysis is extremely limited, the response fails to provide a comprehensive summary of the main features or make the necessary comparisons required by the prompt. To improve, you must ensure you complete the analysis of all categories and meet the minimum word count to allow for a full development of the data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows some attempt at logical organization, such as the use of an 'overall' statement. However, the text is too brief to demonstrate effective paragraphing or a clear progression of ideas. The abrupt ending makes it impossible to evaluate the cohesion of the full report. To improve, you should structure your response into clear paragraphs: an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs that group the data logically. Using cohesive devices like 'in contrast' or 'similarly' will help connect your ideas more effectively.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, such as the repeated use of 'activities' and 'working and work related'. There are also issues with capitalization and punctuation, such as 'Bar graph' and 'house hold'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, try to use more precise terminology to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'a significant disparity', and ensure you use accurate collocations when discussing data points.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains several grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('The Bar graph provide') and awkward phrasing ('are changed'). The sentence structure is simplistic, and the punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas. Because the text is incomplete, there is no evidence of complex sentence structures, which are necessary for higher band scores. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subject-verb agreement, and practicing the use of complex sentences with subordinate clauses.
