It is quite avident from the line chart that age group of 15 to 19 working related activities were high with the average of 6.9 hours however it is just 1.3 hours by the age group of 75 which is lowest.

Meanwhile, line graph shows that high school graduates with age group of 25 were spend house hold activities slight the same as bechelors degree and higher education students. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the task but fails to accurately report the data. The student misinterprets the chart, referring to it as a 'line chart' when it is a bar chart, and confuses percentages with hours (e.g., '51.7' is treated as a percentage, but the chart measures hours). The selection of data is disjointed, and the comparisons are unclear or factually incorrect based on the provided image. The overview is weak, as it focuses on specific data points rather than identifying the main trends across age and education levels. To improve, focus on grouping data logically and ensuring the units of measurement are correctly identified.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is confusing. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'In contract' (likely meant 'In contrast') and 'Meanwhile', but they are often used incorrectly or do not effectively link the sentences. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the comparison between age groups and education levels. The structure feels mechanical, and the lack of clear logical flow between the introduction, body paragraphs, and the overall summary hinders the coherence of the response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'propotion hours were spend' and 'avident'. The student struggles to use precise terminology to describe the data, relying on basic phrases like 'spend a lot of hours'. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'bechelors' and 'house hold'. To reach a higher band, the student needs to expand their range of vocabulary to include terms related to data analysis, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained constant', or 'a significant disparity'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with verb tense and subject-verb agreement, such as 'women were spend' instead of 'women spent'. Sentence structures are largely simple, and attempts at more complex sentences are often marred by errors, such as 'age group of 15 to 19 working related activities were high'. Punctuation is also inconsistent. A significant improvement in basic grammatical accuracy is required before the student can effectively demonstrate a wider range of complex structures.
