Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to summarise the data but struggles with accuracy. You correctly identify some trends, such as older women spending more time on leisure, but the description of the data is often imprecise or contradictory. For example, you state that 'Adults are spent mostly equally their time in working and leisure', which is not clearly supported by the visual data. Furthermore, the report lacks a clear overview of the main features, and the data points mentioned are sometimes vague. To improve, ensure you clearly distinguish between the two categories (age and education) and provide specific, accurate comparisons rather than generalisations that are difficult to verify against the chart.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often confusing. While you use some cohesive devices like 'whereas' and 'overall', they are frequently used incorrectly or in a way that makes the sentences difficult to follow. For instance, the transition between discussing age groups and educational attainment is abrupt. The referencing is also problematic; it is often unclear which group you are referring to, which hinders the logical flow of the report. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic phrases such as 'spent time' or 'highest time', which limits the precision of your report. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'educational field' instead of 'educational attainment' and 'elder women' instead of 'older women'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'allocate', 'proportion', 'significant', or 'marginal', and ensure that your word choices are contextually appropriate for an academic report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. You consistently struggle with verb forms, such as 'The Line graph was illustrates' (should be 'illustrates') and 'Adults are spent' (should be 'Adults spend'). Additionally, sentence structure is often awkward, leading to run-on sentences or fragments. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the errors in basic subject-verb agreement and tense usage are persistent. Focusing on mastering simple sentence structures before attempting more complex ones will help reduce the frequency of these errors.
