The bar chart below shows the average number of hours that women in various age groups and women with varying levels of education spend on primary activities each week.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The bar graph entailed depicts the average number of hours that women in various ages and having various level of education invest on selective primary activities each week.

Overall, the chart compares the level of age groups that spend time in various activities. As well as women with level of education attained spending time on the same activities on average per week.

There is seen a high trend in leisure and sports amongst the women in the age group of 75 & over reaching about 51.7 hours on average per week. Whereas, the lowest time spent is 27.4 hours by the age level 35 to 44 since these age group people are also busy with their work related activites and have to manage both.

Age group of 45 to 54 is seen spending the highest number of hours on work related activites amongst all the age groups. As for household activities, age group of 65 to 74 has shown more interest as compared to other age groups.

The graph also compares the time spent in activities with the level of education attained by women. Large number of hours are spent by students who study in high school diploma or less in leisure and sports activities as shown 43.1 and 20 hours on average per week consumed in household activities. Women having bachelor's and higher degrees tend to spend more time in work related activities.
