The bar chart below shows the average number of hours that women in various age groups and women with varying levels of education spend on primary activities each week.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The given bar chart illustrates the average number of hours spend on working, leisure and sports or household activities by women with various age group and levels of education on a weekly bases.

Overall, we can see that hours spend on household activities kept inclining with age except the last age group however working time also increases till 45-54 age group. Women with who have lass then a high school diploma spends major time in leisure and sports while the womens with bachelor's degree or higher spend time working and in leisure and sports.

Older women in 75 and above group spends an average of 57.7 hours weekly on leisure and sports while younger women from 25-54 ages spends more than 26 hours on a weekly bases on working. Women start to indulge in household activites more with each age group, starting at average 6 hours in 15-19 age group till of 21.1 hours in 65-74 age group.

A decline in number of average hours spend on leisure and sports can be seen in as the education level increase, from an average of 43.1 hours to 28.6 hours on a weekly bases and Household time also show similar trend. In contrast, More time is devoted to working with increase in education level from spending 10.7 to 27.8 hours weekly when holding a bachelor's or higher degree.
