Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to cover parts of the task by mentioning age groups and some activities, but it fails to address the educational attainment section of the chart entirely. Furthermore, the reporting of data is inaccurate and incomplete. For instance, the student claims that 15 to 19-year-olds give less time to household activities and have work-related activities of 6.9, but misses synthesizing the key trend that leisure is the dominant activity across all age groups, increasing drastically for older demographics. The overview is entirely missing, and the information is presented in a repetitive, list-like manner without clear comparison of the main features.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The response lacks an overall logical progression and proper paragraph structure. Almost every sentence begins on a new line without standard paragraphing or coherent linking devices, resembling a disconnected list. Transitions between sentences are mechanical or non-existent, frequently relying on repetitive structures like 'and so do' or 'now, about'. Referencing and cohesive devices are inadequate, making the text difficult to follow as a cohesive analytical summary.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling mistakes such as 'geoups', 'lessure', and 'leissure'. Words and phrases are used with limited control, and collocation is often awkward, such as 'loved doing leissure and sport .household activities and very less work related activities'. The range of vocabulary is inadequate for an academic task, failing to use appropriate synonyms or functional language for describing data trends (e.g., 'prefer lessure and sports on comparison to').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting predominantly of simple or faulty complex sentences. There are frequent, distracting grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'the women the ages between 15 to 19 has', '55 to 64 ages women they prefer'), incorrect prepositions ('on comparison to', 'at last household activities'), and severe punctuation and capitalization errors. These frequent errors cause considerable strain for the reader.
