Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response attempts to cover the main features of the charts, identifying age groups and education levels in relation to working, leisure, and household activities. However, the overview is extremely basic and lacks clarity, as the phrasing 'While the women's with various level of education do jobs' is grammatically awkward and poorly connected. Furthermore, the selection of data is inconsistent, and several interpretations are confused, such as mixing up the trends for age groups and education levels in the final paragraph. While some specific data points (like 36.8 and 27.4 hours) are cited accurately from the prompt, the lack of a coherent and well-developed overview limits the score to Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay is divided into short paragraphs, but the organization and progression of ideas are severely hampered by poor cohesion and a lack of logical transitions. Sentences within paragraphs often jump abruptly between age-related data and educational attainment without clear signposting. For example, moving directly from general sports engagement into specific age categories and then into higher education creates a disjointed reading experience. Paragraphing is attempted, but cohesive devices are either absent, repetitive, or mechanically forced, resulting in a low score of 4.5 for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is very basic and frequently repetitive ('women's', 'spent their time', 'activities'). There are numerous word choice and collocation errors, such as 'women's of different age group', 'engangements', 'growing girls', and 'studying at high school'. Less common vocabulary is attempted awkwardly, resulting in unnatural phrasing like 'least interest in doing jobs'. Because lexical errors occur constantly and frequently impede natural communication, the vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate, fitting the Band 5.0 profile.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Grammatical control is weak throughout the response. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement ('the women's with middle age spent', 'women of middle age have'), incorrect prepositions ('in doing house chores', 'at 43.1 for sports'), and faulty article usage ('The rise in graph'). Complex sentence structures are rare and almost always contain errors or awkward phrasing (e.g., 'The rise in graph in sports showed women's with over 75 they have less engangements'). Simple sentences also feature basic errors, leading to frequent difficulties for the reader, which aligns with a Band 4.5 score.
