Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially because the student presents raw data lists rather than selecting and reporting the main features effectively. For example, listing bracketed numbers like '(16.7, 38.9, 18.6)' for educational levels substitutes prose analysis with tabulated data in sentence form. While an overview is attempted, it is basic, noting simply that 'women spens more time in leisure and sports activity'. Some key trends, such as working hours peaking in middle age before declining sharply, are omitted or obscured by the overwhelming focus on detailing every individual data point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response shows some organization with a distinct overview paragraph and clear divisions between educational attainment and age groups. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression because the body paragraphs rely heavily on mechanical and repetitive listing of figures rather than flowing comparative analysis. Cohesive devices are minimal and basic, relying mostly on transition words like 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Whilst'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of data feels disjointed, leading to a mechanical rather than coherent presentation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Vocabulary is limited and minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary related to the prompt, such as 'educational attainments', but introduces noticeable spelling and word-form errors that cause some difficulty for the reader, such as 'illustrate' instead of 'illustrates', 'spend' instead of 'spent', 'womens', 'lesiurs', 'senarios', 'spens', 'baises', 'asspects', 'atainments', 'less then', 'householde', 'bechalors', and 'audult'. These lexical and spelling errors are frequent throughout the response, restricting the lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but these attempts are often faulty, featuring frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues like 'The bar-chart illustrate', preposition and article errors, and awkward parenthetical listings. For instance, writing 'female between 15 to 19 and 20 to 24 spends almost ( 3.9,36.8,6.0)' demonstrates singular/plural disagreements and structural awkwardness. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and brackets, are also common and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader.
