Student answer (Band 5.0)

As per the graph we have the variation of women working among different primary activities had changed a lot with the aging and having educational attainment.

As the women gets older from from 15 to 54 their working activities grow with the age but after that it decreases. If we have look on household activities in our society the house burden is on women so the household interaction kept increasing over the time . but that's not the case for leisure activities ot shows a variation with the growing age it decreases but after the age of 44 it kept increasing as women have to maintain a balanced life.

If we see the educated women their working cycle kept increasing as they study higher and higher as they work high so the more they work the less time they has for sports or leisure activities it is seen that the women who had less qualification are moer likely to do household activities and the more they educate themselves the less they have to work for household.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response attempts to cover the task by addressing the two main categories in the chart, namely age groups and educational attainment, alongside primary activities. However, the information is only partially addressed. While you touch upon working and household activities, you miss key details and fail to make precise comparisons, such as contrasting the peak of leisure hours in the oldest age group with younger cohorts. Furthermore, your interpretation of the data includes sweeping generalizations and minor inaccuracies regarding the trends. To reach a higher standard, you need to select and report the most significant features more accurately, providing a clearer overview with well-supported data points rather than vague descriptions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

Your writing shows some organization, but there is a lack of clear overall progression. The response is presented in a dense block of text with only two long paragraphs, which makes the logical flow difficult to follow. Cohesive devices are either missing or used inaccurately; for example, phrases like 'As per the graph we have' and 'If we have look on' sound unnatural and act as mechanical links rather than smooth transitions. To improve, you should organize your ideas into well-defined paragraphs—such as a brief introduction, an overview paragraph, and separate body paragraphs for age and education—while using a wider variety of accurate cohesive markers to guide the reader seamlessly through your comparisons.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is rather limited and basic, restricting the precision needed for an academic task. You rely heavily on repetitive phrasing, such as 'kept increasing' and 'working cycle'. There are also noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'house burden', 'household interaction', and 'moer likely', which cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate a broader range of vocabulary appropriate for academic writing, utilizing precise terms related to data trends (e.g., 'proportion', 'fluctuate', 'steadily rise') and ensuring correct word formation and spelling throughout your response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your sentence structures are quite limited, consisting mainly of simple sentences and faulty attempts at complex clauses. There are frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader, including missing articles ('If we have look on household activities'), incorrect prepositions ('grow with the age'), subject-verb agreement issues ('the women gets older', 'time they has'), and run-on sentences with incorrect punctuation (e.g., comma splices like 'over the time . but that's not the case'). To improve this criterion, you need to practice forming grammatically sound complex sentences, control your verb tenses when describing statistical data, and carefully check your work for basic agreement and punctuation errors.
