Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word length requirement of 150 words, stopping abruptly at only 105 words. Because the text is incomplete, the second half of the visual data concerning educational attainment is entirely omitted. While the writer attempts to present an overview and select some initial main features, such as mentioning the highest leisure time in older age groups, the response can only be evaluated as addressing the task partially due to its severe truncation and under-development of ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The text demonstrates some basic organisation, opening with an introductory paraphrase and attempting an overall summary statement. However, the overall progression breaks down because the response is incomplete. Cohesive devices are minimal and mechanical, such as the basic transition 'While, surprisingly'. Paragraphing is disrupted because the essay is cut off mid-sentence at the beginning of the body paragraph covering educational attainment, meaning clear logical sequencing and sustained progression throughout the whole text cannot be established at this level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for basic communication, featuring common terms like 'amount of weekly time', 'activites', and 'age group'. There are noticeable lexical errors, including word-form and spelling mistakes such as 'activites', 'fluctuaes', and the awkward phrase 'different various of age'. Attempts at less common vocabulary lead to unnatural phrasing like 'By the metric of age'. These errors occasionally cause minor hesitation for the reader, but meaning is generally discernible in the parts that are written.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response features a limited range of sentence structures, relying primarily on simple statements with some attempts at complex forms that contain structural errors, such as 'most time is spent on leisure and playing activities by all the groups and the time spent on working fluctuaes significantly.' There are frequent errors in word order, prepositions, and phrasing, including 'the time spent of working is least' and 'most is in the agre 45 to 54'. While these errors do not completely obscure meaning, they occur frequently and demonstrate limited control over grammatical patterns.
