Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You provide a relevant overview, identifying leisure and sports as the leading activity across both age and education groups. You also select useful comparisons, such as the high leisure figures among older women and the rise in work-related hours with higher educational attainment. However, the overview says household activities take the least time, which is not true for every group: among women aged 75 and over, work is lower, and for some education groups household time is also below leisure but not always the least. Some figures are inaccurate, including 36.7 rather than 36.2 for ages 55–64 and 18.6 rather than 19.6 for high-school graduates. More precise comparisons and a clearer account of the main trends would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for age and educational attainment. This makes the two sets of categories easy to follow, and phrases such as “Regarding to age groups” and “In terms of” signal the shift in focus. The organisation is generally coherent, but some sentences become difficult to process because many figures and activities are packed into one sequence. For example, the final sentence lists leisure, work and household figures for two education groups without breaking the comparisons into clearer units. There is also some awkward or repetitive linking. Use shorter comparison-focused sentences and clearer references to the groups to make progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant task vocabulary, including “leisure and sports,” “work related activities,” “household activities,” and “educational level,” so the topic is generally clear. There is also some variety in how you refer to the groups, such as “females” and “women.” However, several word-choice and spelling problems reduce precision: “different hours” is not a natural description of the chart, “activities which are conducted” is awkward, and “household chores” is less suitable than the chart’s neutral category. Misspellings such as “activties,” “diffrent,” “thoose,” and “bachealor's” are noticeable. Aim for accurate chart terminology and check spelling; this will make your vocabulary more controlled and appropriate to an academic report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of sentence forms, including an overview with a contrast and longer sentences comparing several categories. Most of the intended meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “women who belong to different age groups and education level” has a number-agreement problem, while “Regarding to age groups” uses an incorrect preposition pattern. The phrase “women who were between 65 to 75 or over” also has an unclear comparison structure, and “In terms of of” repeats a preposition. Punctuation is inconsistent, particularly where figures run together or a space is missing after a full stop. Build comparisons with simpler, well-controlled clauses, then check agreement, prepositions and sentence boundaries.
