Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main overall patterns: leisure is the largest activity across the groups, and higher educational attainment is associated with more work and less leisure. You also report several relevant age trends, including the leisure peak among women aged 75 and over. This covers the task and shows some selection of key features. However, some details are incomplete or imprecise: work is not simply “almost the same” across all other age groups, since it peaks around 26–27 hours among women aged 25–54 and falls sharply after 54. Household activity peaks at 65–74, but the figure is about 21 hours, not 20, and the education-related household pattern is omitted. More precise comparisons would strengthen the overview and development.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The response is organised into a brief introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for age and education, giving the reader a clear route through the information. Phrases such as “According to different age groups” and “According to different education level” signal the shift in focus, while “The opposite trend” links the education patterns efficiently. This logical progression supports the response. To make the organisation more effective, connect the comparisons within each paragraph more explicitly and avoid relying on the same “According to” framing. The final paragraph is also quite short and leaves the household-activity figures by education unreported; integrating that comparison would make the coverage feel more balanced and complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a reasonable range of task-related vocabulary, including “average time,” “leisure activities,” “peaked,” and “education level,” so the main information is generally understandable. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing a chart: “time utilized” and “hours are consumed” make the figures sound like resources being used up, while “literacy” does not accurately describe educational attainment. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “cosumed” and “increasea.” Repeating “time spent” and “activities” limits flexibility. Aim for precise chart language and natural collocations, such as “hours devoted to,” “rose to,” and “educational attainment”; proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the overview sentence beginning “With increase in education level” and the longer comparison about leisure among age groups. The meaning is usually recoverable, and the response has a clear overall structure. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, and verb forms. For example, “Overall, highest number of hours” needs an article, and “time spent on work increase” should use a verb agreeing with the subject. In “for all other age group it is almost the same,” the plural form and the reference of “it” are unclear. Use complete, carefully controlled comparisons, and check subject–verb agreement and articles when revising.
