Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You include an introduction and an overview, and identify two valid headline features: leisure time is highest among women aged 75 and over, while their work-related time is lowest at 1.3 hours. The education paragraph also accurately reports the opposing trends in work (10.7 to 27.4 hours) and leisure (43.1 to 28.6). However, the response addresses the chart only partially: it gives little detail about age-group leisure or household activities, and the age-related work trend is described inaccurately. Work rises from 6.9 hours at ages 15–19 to around 27 hours among ages 25–54, then falls; it does not increase steadily through age 54. The overview also omits the broad contrast between age and education patterns. Select and compare the main trends more precisely, including household activity’s rise with age before a slight decline.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for age and educational attainment. This gives the reader a basic route through the information. However, progression within the paragraphs is not always clear. The age paragraph moves from work to the vague statement “data of age group between 15 to 74 have rose up constantly,” without making clear which activity this refers to; it also conflicts with the preceding description of work. Linking phrases such as “As per” and “Additionally” are repeated or do not clarify the relationship between points. Improve cohesion by grouping each activity’s trend clearly, using precise references, and connecting comparisons rather than listing loosely related observations.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “educational attainment,” “leisure and sports,” and “work related,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts difficult to interpret. For example, “women praticipation” does not express the intended idea, and “the highest who are engaged” is an awkward way to describe the largest amount of leisure time. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “thier,” “activites,” “incresead,” and “deacresed.” Use accurate activity labels and standard trend language, such as “time spent on household activities increased,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “while” and a clause beginning “Although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning unclear. Examples include “women of different age group,” “work related women have incresead,” and “number of working women have went up.” The sentence beginning “Although, information…” is also incomplete in structure because “although” introduces a dependent clause without a main clause. Practise forming complete comparisons with accurate subject–verb agreement and past-tense verbs, for example, “The number of hours spent working rose from 10.7 to 27.4.” Punctuation around introductory phrases also needs attention.
