The chart demostrates how women of various age groups spend their time at different stages of their life.
Overall, the older women are leading this chart for spending their time in different household activities falling behind are the teenage girls that does not spend their time performing this specific activity.

Moreover, standing at 44% is the women of 65 to 74 years of age doing household activities and women can be seen spending their early life with the percentage of 36.8% playing sports. The rest of the given values fluctuates over time.
In the year 2009, the women of age 25 and over had 43.1% who had studied up until high school and have a diploma. Nevertheless, 10.7% can be seen engaging in work related activities. The highschool graduates have the second most percentage of women which is 38.9% who likes to do sports of any sort. It is clear that college and bachelors students had differences from a very few margin.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response identifies broad age and education groupings and includes some figures, but it does not accurately summarise the chart’s main features. The most serious issue is repeatedly assigning leisure figures to household activities: 51.7 belongs to leisure for women aged 75 and over, while household activity is 19.6; similarly, 44.0 is leisure for ages 65–74, not household activity. The overview’s claim that older women lead in household activities is only partly supported, since the peak is 21.1 among ages 65–74, and the chart also shows work rising to around 27 hours in middle age before falling. The education paragraph misreads the groups and describes hours as percentages. Select accurate comparisons across all three activities and state the units clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for age and educational attainment. This gives the reader some sense of the response’s intended organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because comparisons shift abruptly and the figures are not grouped consistently. For example, the age paragraph moves from household activities to leisure and then says “The rest of the given values fluctuates over time,” without explaining which values or trend. Linking words such as “However,” “Moreover,” and “Nevertheless” are present, but they do not always express a clear relationship between the information. Organise each paragraph around a clear comparison, and use references that make the activity and group being discussed unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The response uses some relevant chart vocabulary, including “age groups,” “household activities,” “work related activities,” and “leisure and sports,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing statistical data. “Leading this chart” and “the rest of the given values fluctuates over time” are vague, while “playing sports” does not accurately represent the chart’s broader leisure category. The repeated use of “percentage” is also unsuitable because the figures are hours per week. Spelling and word-form slips, such as “demostrates” and “highschool,” further reduce precision. Use standard reporting language such as “recorded,” “spent,” “rose,” and “declined,” and distinguish hours from percentages.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts a few complex sentence forms, including “However” and “Moreover” constructions, but control is inconsistent and many sentences contain errors that make relationships unclear. For example, “the older women are leading this chart for spending their time in different household activities falling behind are the teenage girls” lacks a clear grammatical connection between its clauses. There are also agreement and article errors in “a women” and “the women … spend,” and the sentence “The highschool graduates have the second most percentage of women which is 38.9% who likes” has unclear clause structure and subject–verb agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention. Practise accurate simple comparisons first, then build longer sentences with clearly connected clauses and consistent subject–verb agreement.
