Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify relevant broad patterns, including that work-related time is highest among women aged 25–34 and those with a bachelor’s degree or higher, while leisure is greatest among the oldest age group and women with less education. However, some comparisons are inaccurate or unclear: the highest leisure figure is for women aged 75 and over, not those aged 15–19, although 15–19-year-olds do have the highest leisure figure among the age groups after the oldest group is considered. The household overview is also imprecise: household time generally rises with age to 65–74, then falls slightly, and it is highest among women with less than a high-school diploma in the education categories. A clearer, accurate overview and a few supporting figures would make the main features more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: it introduces the chart, discusses work and leisure, then household activities, and ends with a conclusion. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow, and linking expressions are sometimes mechanical or unclear. For example, “Therefore” does not clearly connect the overview to the following comparison, while “Now come to” and “On conclusion” are awkward transitions. The sentence beginning “Moreover who has less…” combines age and education groups without making their relationship clear. Use separate paragraphs for the overview and the age and education comparisons, and connect each point with precise references such as “By contrast” or “Among women aged 25 and over.”
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several word choices make the chart description difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “elementary works,” “main task,” and “doing this” are not natural ways to describe the activities shown. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “wrok,” “bechelor,” and “womens,” as well as imprecise expressions such as “less rate of expense their time.” You do use some relevant terms, including “leisure and sports,” “household activities,” and “educational background,” so there is a foundation to build on. Aim for accurate chart vocabulary and collocations, such as “spend time on,” “work-related activities,” and “the figure was highest among.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts longer sentences and comparisons, but the range of sentence structures is limited and errors are frequent. For example, “The bar chart illustrates the number of ladies spend their time” lacks a correctly formed clause, and “womens in 25to 34 … spend” has problems with agreement and sentence construction. The sentence beginning “Moreover who has less…” is also incomplete and difficult to parse. Articles, plurals, and punctuation are inconsistently controlled, as seen in “on the other hand when it's comes” and the repeated run-on sentences. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and use simple comparative structures accurately before adding longer clauses.
