Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the chart’s broad subject and give an overview that leisure and sports take the most time across the groups. You also make relevant comparisons between work and household activities. However, the response only partially reports the main features: it gives few accurate figures and sometimes describes hours as “percentage[s]” or says women “practice sports,” which misrepresents the activity and units. The claim that women aged 15 to 34 spend almost all their time on sports is not supported; leisure ranges from 28.6 to 36.8 hours, while work is highest for several groups in this range. Your education comparisons also confuse the second-most time-consuming activity: for degree holders, work exceeds household activities. Select key highs and lows, report hours accurately, and compare age and education patterns more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to age-based and education-based details. Linking phrases such as “Overall,” “As we can see,” and “On the other hand” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is not consistently clear: the age discussion shifts between sports and work without a systematic comparison, and the final education paragraph introduces a contrast that is difficult to follow. Some connectors are used inaccurately or mechanically, including “Nevertheless” where the relationship is not a clear concession. References such as “the others” and “they” are also vague. Group the information more deliberately—for example, describe age patterns first, then educational attainment—and use clear comparisons to connect each point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “average number of hours,” “age groups,” “educational level,” and “household activities,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the report less precise. “Practice sports” is not a natural way to describe time spent on leisure and sports, while “focus in Household activities” and “spend more time in sports” are awkward. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “diffierent,” “educaion,” and “approximetely,” which reduce clarity and control. Use the chart’s activity labels consistently and choose neutral reporting language such as “spent time on” or “accounted for.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including comparisons introduced by “while” and “but.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors affect readability. For example, “The chart illustrate” has subject–verb disagreement, while “Females who are aged 15 to 34 practice sports at almost of the time” has an incomplete, ungrammatical construction. Other problems include missing or misplaced articles, inconsistent punctuation and capitalisation, and unclear clause structure in “Further more who are 35 or more till 54 years old, they spend…”. Aim for shorter, complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation. A wider range of structures will be more effective once these basic patterns are controlled.
