Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify relevant features, including the high leisure figure for the oldest age group and the low household figure for teenagers, and you include several comparisons across age and education. However, the overview is not consistently accurate: women aged 75 and over recorded 51.7 hours of leisure, not 57.7, and the highest educational-group figure was 43.1 hours for women with less than a high-school diploma, not 43.7 for high-school graduates. The claim that all educational groups spent around 18.7 hours on household activities also obscures the range from 15.2 to 20.0. Some comparisons are incomplete or unclear, so the main patterns are only partly conveyed. Select the clearest trends and report the figures precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction and overview to age-group and education details. This gives the reader some organisation, and words such as “whereas” and “Furthermore” attempt to connect ideas. However, progression is limited: the overview mixes age and education findings without a clear hierarchy, and the later paragraphs do not consistently group comparable data. For example, the sentence about “Middle age group from 20-24 and 25-34” gives only one leisure figure, making the comparison difficult to follow. Some links are also unclear, as in the final sentence about degree holders and leisure. Organise the body into clear age and education sections, and use comparisons that explicitly identify each group.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “average hours,” “working activities,” “household activities,” and “educational attainment,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts harder to read, such as “buttery chart,” “activites,” “houes,” “lesisure,” and “catageries.” Some phrases are also imprecise or unnatural, including “like to spend” and “give … hours to sports activities.” Use neutral reporting language and accurate activity labels, and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “spent,” “recorded,” and “leisure and sports” would help you describe the data clearly without implying preference.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer comparisons, but the range of sentence structures is limited and errors occur frequently. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “The given … chart illustrate” and “The unit are measured”; articles and plural forms are also missing or inaccurate. Tense shifts appear in “women spend” followed by “their most of the time was spent,” and several sentences lack clear grammatical relationships between their parts. Capitalisation at the start of paragraphs and punctuation around figures are inconsistent as well. These errors sometimes make the intended comparison difficult to interpret. Practise accurate present or past reporting forms, agreement, and complete sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
