Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You attempt to discuss both views and give a personal position, especially when you say junk food is unhealthy and describe eating it on special occasions. However, the task is only minimally addressed: the first view is not clearly about advertising being responsible or whether it should be banned, and the opposing view is presented as a claim that junk food is healthy rather than that advertising does not cause obesity. Your conclusion also says you agree with the “second statement,” which conflicts with your earlier opinion that junk food is bad for health. The response is 228 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 23 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each side around advertising and state a consistent, explicit position, supported with relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the first hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader recognise the intended stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the first body paragraph moves from daily eating to examples and health effects without explaining how advertising relates to them, while the second shifts from occasional eating to celebrations and vegetables. Some links are difficult to follow, and the conclusion does not clearly connect with the position in the introduction. Use topic sentences that directly address each view, then arrange supporting points in a clear sequence and use references such as “this view” precisely.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You use a small set of relevant topic words, including “advertising,” “obesity,” “health,” “vegetables,” and “body fitness,” so the general subject is recognisable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “junk food” and “problem,” and several spelling errors make parts harder to understand, such as “obsity,” “burgur,” and “anivarsy.” Some phrases are also unclear or unnatural, including “PCDO problem the body” and “the tast is good.” Build a more precise range for discussing the actual issue—for example, terms for marketing, consumer choices, and health risks—and check spelling and collocations. This would make your ideas clearer without relying on repeated wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including “we eat juck food special days For example, birthday…” and a sentence beginning “because they will comes…”. However, control is inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors in basic structures. Examples include “every person like,” “we not eat,” and “they does not create,” where subject–verb agreement or auxiliary forms are incorrect. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also unreliable, as in the opening, where several ideas run together. These problems sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with clauses using “because,” “although,” or “for example.” Check verb forms, agreement, articles, and full stops during revision.
