Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is argued that some societies believe obesity is regarded as amajor problem. While some people believe that junk food advertising is largly to blame for this problem and should ne banned. While other feeel that junk foof advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be banned.
Althrough I agree with the both approaches.
On the one hand, some people belived that junk food advertising is largely to blame for this problem and should be banned. They says that by advertising about junk food all the children over there is influencing more and got ceaving for that junk food so instantly they purchse it and eat so there will lead to major health problems and also cause high risk health issues so by banning this advertising there maybe a chance of decreasing junk food eaters in the children.
on the other hand, other people believe that junk food advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be banned.IN my opinion i believe that advertising may show major impact on people so that by seeing newly launched junk foods most of the people got influenced buy it and got interst on that foods so it is neccessary to ban such advertising.
In conclusion banning junk food advertising is neccessary to protect the future generation health and today every samll kid is adicted to such unhealthy poisionis junkfoods so by banning and decreasing this foods may help so many young generations and they may have there health in there hands.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to discuss both views on junk food advertising and obesity, and provides a personal opinion. However, the structure of the introduction is flawed, using sentence fragments and treating the prompt as a series of dependent clauses rather than full sentences, such as 'While some people believe that junk food advertising is largly to blame for this problem and should ne banned. While other feeel that junk foof advertising does not contribute...' Furthermore, the writer contradicts their own introduction by writing 'Althrough I agree with the both approaches', yet subsequently takes a firm stand against advertising in the body paragraphs. Ideas in the body paragraphs tend to be repetitive and under-developed, relying on circular reasoning without sufficient specific examples or evidence to support the arguments fully. Overall, the task is addressed only partially, aligning with Band 5.0 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay displays basic organisational features, such as using transitional phrases like 'On the one hand', 'on the other hand', and 'In conclusion'. However, overall progression is hindered by poor paragraphing choices and structural confusion in the introduction. The introductory sentences are fragmented and do not connect properly to form a cohesive opening. Additionally, referencing is frequently unclear, and cohesive devices are often misused or mechanically applied, such as starting a paragraph with 'IN my opinion i believe' right after discussing the opposing view, which blurs the logical distinction between the two perspectives. There is a lack of smooth transitions between sentences within the body paragraphs. These issues reflect Band 5.0 performance.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, featuring frequent misspellings and inappropriate word choices throughout the text. Examples include 'largly' for largely, 'ne' for be, 'feeel', 'foof', 'Althrough', 'belived', 'purchse', 'adicted', and 'poisionis'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'influencing', 'generations', and 'unhealthy', but these are undermined by persistent spelling errors and awkward collocations like 'high risk health issues' and 'have there health in there hands'. The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate for the task, causing some difficulty for the reader and fitting the Band 5.0 criteria.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on a limited range of sentence structures, frequently stringing multiple clauses together with conjunctions like 'so' and 'and' to create run-on sentences. For example, the sentence 'They says that by advertising about junk food all the children over there is influencing more and got ceaving for that junk food so instantly they purchse it and eat so there will lead to major health problems...' demonstrates major grammatical breakdown and a lack of control over complex structures. Subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'all the children... is influencing', 'They says') and punctuation errors are frequent. While simple sentences are sometimes understandable, the frequency of errors causes significant difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar at a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
