Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both views on junk food advertising and providing an opinion. However, the development of ideas is severely limited and repetitive. The introduction is extremely formulaic and misinterprets the prompt by claiming some people think it is a 'positive effect for individuals'. The body paragraphs present arguments about health issues and convenience, but they lack specific examples or detailed explanations, relying instead on vague assertions like 'some diseases like obesity, cancer and some kidney issues are generate'. The position is stated, but the overall task response falls into the Band 5 category due to limited development and repetition of basic ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

Paragraphing is attempted, with distinct introduction, body, and conclusion sections, though the formatting includes excessive capitalization. Cohesive devices are used mechanically and repetitively, such as 'IN THE ONE HAND', 'ON THE OTHERS HAND', and 'IN CONCLUSION'. Logical progression within paragraphs is weak because sentences often repeat the same point rather than building upon it. Referencing is frequently unclear, for example, 'kids orders his food it's very easy way'. Overall, the organization shows some basic structure but lacks clear progression, placing it at Band 5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary range is basic and repetitive, heavily relying on words from the prompt such as 'obesity', 'junk food', 'advertising', and 'problem'. There are frequent word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'EXTRA ORDINARY ADVANCEMENT', 'declined over life', and 'easy away'. Spelling errors are noticeable throughout the text, including 'EASY' instead of 'ESSAY', 'MJOR', 'FURTURE', and 'TAHT'. While the vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey a basic meaning, the lexical limitations and numerous errors correspond to a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, consisting mostly of simple and attempted complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in basic grammar, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation, such as 'THIS EASY WILL DISCUSSED', 'the youth community are mostly like', 'it's caused for the some diseases', and 'kids orders his food'. Punctuation is misused with erratic spacing around commas. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader in untangling the intended meaning, the performance aligns with Band 4.0.
