Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is a debateble statement among people and societies, It is not deinable the Obesity is a major problem, where some people believe that junk food advertising is largely to blame for this problem and should be banned. However, others feel that junk food advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be banned. In my point of view, i believe that junk food avertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should be banned.
Firstly, the advertisment is just a promotion of the brand, support to increase the brand presence, advertisment of the offers and discounts for their consumers. Advertisment of junk foods is not forcing anyone to consume it overly, not to effect anyone. It should not be banned its just for awareness about the brand's and their food items and all.
However, people should support themselves with doing exercise, limited consumation of the junk food. Its totally depend on person, they know what to eat what to not, so just blame junk food advertising is not a solution. For example, there is two persons A and B, A consume daily junk food such as pizza, burger and beverages etc in excessive amount where B consume junk food twice or thrice a week, even with that B do exercise with that B's fit. Blamingis not a solution.
To sum up, Advertisment of junk food does not compel to adapt the unhealthy life, its totaly depend of person who to manage it and follow a good lifestyle.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The candidate addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on junk food advertising and stating a personal opinion. However, the position stated in the introduction contains a contradictory error ('does not contribute... and should be banned'), which creates initial confusion about the writer's exact stance, although the body paragraphs clarify that they oppose a ban. The ideas presented are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper elaboration. For example, the distinction between brand awareness and forced consumption is a relevant point, but it is not fully extended. The example involving 'two persons A and B' is simplistic and informal for an Academic task. Overall, the response addresses the prompt adequately but suffers from under-developed argumentation and minor clarity issues regarding the writer's position, aligning it with Band 5.0 descriptors.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response demonstrates some organisation with basic paragraphing, separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, overall progression is limited by awkward sequencing and repetitive phrasing. Cohesive devices are used mechanically or inaccurately, such as the abrupt transition 'However, people should support themselves...' and the fragmented phrasing in the conclusion. Reference pronouns are occasionally unclear, and there is a noticeable lack of varied logical connectors. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentences often run together with comma splices, as seen in 'It is a debateble statement among people and societies, It is not deinable...'. These cohesive weaknesses restrict the response to a Band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent misspellings and inappropriate word choices. Examples include 'debateble' instead of debatable, 'deinable' instead of deniable, 'avertising' instead of advertising, and 'consumation' instead of consumption. The range of vocabulary is limited to common words related to the topic, and attempts to use less common items fail due to poor collocation and spelling errors (e.g., 'adapt the unhealthy life'). While the meaning can generally be discerned, the dense concentration of lexical inaccuracies strains the reader, fitting the Band 4.0 descriptor well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Its totally depend on person'), missing prepositions, and persistent comma splices connecting independent clauses. Punctuation is frequently misused or omitted entirely, and sentences like 'Blamingis not a solution' display basic structural failures. Complex structures are attempted but are almost always faulty. Because errors are frequent and cause noticeable difficulty for the reader, this performance corresponds to a Band 4.0.
