Student answer (Band 6.0)
Being obese is the major problem in modern world. While few people believe that advertisement of fast food through social media is not responsible for obesity. I strongly agree that advertising the obesity through ads or posts, carrying junk foods should be banned.
The main reason for banning commercials related to fast food is emergence of cravings in individuals. The more individuals pass through these kind of posts, the more they crave for food, encouraging them to buy and eat food in order to satisfy their cravings. For example, if Macdonalds advertise their burger deals, enforces population to try meals and burgers, having detrimental impacst on their health, leading to weight gain.
On the other hand, some people think that advertisement of fast food does not play any role in weight gain as it only keep them update about diferent kinds of food so it should not be banned. Moreover, if different frenchises promote their meals through social media, it helps people to choose the one best food frenchise instead of trying all fast food sectors. Consequently, not responsible for weight gain.
Ultimately, many people have different perspectives realated to promotion of fast food, I believe that promotion of fast food through commercials should be bannned because if substantial amount fast food is consumed for a long period of time it can lead to obesity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on junk food advertising and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the length requirement has not been met, as the response is only 225 words, falling short of the 250-word minimum. This results in a negative impact on Task Achievement because the ideas cannot be fully extended. For instance, the discussion on the benefits of advertising remains brief and somewhat superficial, mentioning only that it keeps people updated about different kinds of food. While the student's position is clear throughout, the under-length nature of the essay restricts the overall development of arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is generally coherent with a recognizable overall structure, utilizing basic paragraphing to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'On the other hand', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently', though some referencing is slightly awkward, as seen in 'these kind of posts'. Paragraphing is present, but logical progression from sentence to sentence occasionally feels mechanical. Overall, the organization is sufficient for a band 6.0, as the progression of ideas is generally clear despite minor limitations in cohesion management.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The lexical resource is adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to use less common vocabulary such as 'emergence of cravings', 'detrimental impacts', and 'substantial amount'. However, there are several noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as 'advertising the obesity', 'frenchises' (franchises), 'best food frenchise', and 'realated'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, but they reflect a limited control over word choice and spelling, keeping the lexical score at a band 6.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay displays a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, including conditional-like clauses ('if Macdonalds advertise their burger deals...'). There are frequent grammatical errors and punctuation slips throughout the text, such as missing articles ('Being obese is the major problem', 'in modern world'), subject-verb agreement issues ('advertisement... do not play'), and sentence fragments ('Consequently, not responsible for weight gain'). While these errors are noticeable and cause some minor difficulty, they do not completely impede communication, aligning the grammar with a band 5.5.
