Student answer (Band 4.5)

It is irrefutable that in some societies, obesity is regarded as a major problem. Some people regard this as eating junk food is largely to blame for this problem and should be banned. while other group of people argue that eating junk food does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be ristricted. However, I personally feel that jank food should not necessrey be banned because it frash our mood but it doesnot means to eat it ragularly. I will discuss these both points before reaching my opinion.

The debate surrounding obesity is regarded as a major problem is the most charged in today’s era of worldwide. On one hand, there are many people convinced that eating junk food is largely to blame for this problem and should be banned. They come up with several arguments. First argument which they have put forward is it increase our calustrole level. Also it is a sorce of many dieases. To support it,junk food effect our digestive system that may couse of disorder of digestion called diahhea. For example,if a person is eating juck food daily he feel pain in chest and stoamach.

On the other hand, a host of progressive also protest that junk food advertising does not contribute to the problem of obesity and should not be banned. This latter view point is assisted with various valid reasons. Firstly, it make our mood fresh and make us happy. Also it is the source to meet with friends and families . For instance,if a person is busy bissnessman and he have no time to meet with friends and family so they family or friends invite them on meetup with some juck food so there is no any reason for him to deny this invitation.

In conclusion, although both arguments have their merits on balance. However, as far as it is concerned to me, I can opine that accessive use of everything is dangerous so we disure to eat juck food with in the limit.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views on junk food advertising and obesity, and provides a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the arguments concerning health impacts ('increase our calustrole level', 'cause of disorder of digestion called diahhea') are simplistic and under-developed. Similarly, the counter-argument relies heavily on a single narrative about busy businessmen meeting friends. While a clear position is established, the reasoning often lacks depth and relevant academic support. Therefore, the task response aligns best with Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organized into paragraphs with basic introductory and concluding sections, showing some organizational structure. However, there is a lack of smooth progression and the cohesive devices used are often inaccurate, mechanical, or awkward, such as starting sentences with 'To support it,' or 'Also it is a sorce.' Paragraphing is attempted, but sentence boundaries are frequently blurred, leading to run-on structures (e.g., 'Some people regard this as eating junk food is largely to blame... while other group of people...'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the overall flow is occasionally interrupted by abrupt transitions. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently reusing terms like 'junk food', 'obesity', and 'problem' throughout the response. There are numerous noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'ristricted', 'jank', 'necessrey', 'frash', 'ragularly', 'calustrole', 'sorce', 'dieases', 'couse', 'diahhea', 'juck', 'stoamach', 'bissnessman', 'accessive', and 'disure'. These lexical inadequacies and frequent spelling errors cause some difficulty for the reader and reflect a limited, minimally adequate range characteristic of Band 4, though occasional attempts at less common words push it toward a 4.5 or weak 5.0. Overall, vocabulary control remains at Band 4.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response displays a very limited range of sentence structures, with frequent and severe grammatical errors that frequently impede communication and distort meaning. There are constant issues with subject-verb agreement ('it increase', 'he feel'), article usage, verb forms ('is eating', 'he have'), and prepositional phrases ('with in the limit'). Complex sentence attempts are almost uniformly faulty, such as 'Some people regard this as eating junk food is largely to blame' and 'as far as it is concerned to me, I can opine that accessive use of everything is dangerous so we disure to eat juck food with in the limit.' Due to the constant presence of basic grammatical errors across most sentences, the writing corresponds to Band 4.
