Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is undeniable that obesity is growing rapidly in the major countries of the world. Many induviduals believe that adverstisment of fast food is the real reason behind this but some induviduals belive that fast food advertisment is not the solo reason behind that. In my perspective i agree with the second opinion because there are a lot of other reasons as well that plays a major role in the obesity.
First reason is the lack of physical activity because the less amount of physical activity does not help in digestion that causes serious effect on the body for example the nutritions has recently claimed that obesity is not caused by poor consumption of food infact unreal involvment in the work and ignoring the condition of body health can also cause obesity as well. Siting infront of the screen for various hours also contributes in obesity. The other reports also claimed that the trend of obesity is majorly increases in the younger generation more as compared to elders because of there casual behavior towards there health. So blaming enitrely on the advertising of junk food is not an appropriate way becuase the attitude of people's towards health is also not appretiatable.
However we can not ignore this fact as well that the advertising of junk food has been dramaticaly increases in recent times that brings the attention and priority of younger generation more towards junk food so i believe somehow people are also right in there own way because junk food is the major victim of obesity so rather deciding to bann junk food advertisement completely it is better to reduce at maximum level and focus more on the awareness of health benefits.
In conclusion, I believe that both stance is correct at there own place but i believe that rather than completely boycott the advertising of junk food it is better to maintain the health by ownself. We should focus more on natural food and just consume junk food once in a blue moon.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You present a clear overall view: advertising may contribute to obesity, but it is not the only cause and should be reduced rather than completely banned. You also discuss both perspectives, mentioning inactivity and screen time as other factors, then acknowledging that advertising can attract young people to junk food. These points are relevant, but the two sides are not developed equally: the case for banning advertising is brief, and claims such as “junk food is the major victim of obesity” are unclear and do not provide convincing support. To strengthen the response, explain how advertising influences food choices and give a specific example or evidence for each side. Your conclusion repeats your position, though the advice to eat junk food “once in a blue moon” shifts attention from the policy question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on other causes, a paragraph acknowledging advertising’s influence, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are joined into long sentences, and links such as “First reason,” “However,” and “In conclusion” can feel mechanical. Some references are also unclear, including “the other reports” and “that brings the attention,” so readers may not know exactly what they refer to. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. Clearer sentence boundaries and more precise referencing would make the connections between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “physical activity,” “younger generation,” “awareness,” and “health benefits.” This gives you enough language to communicate your main position, but the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. For example, “junk food is the major victim of obesity” does not express a clear relationship, while “nutritions” and “appretiatable” are inaccurate forms. Repeated use of “obesity,” “reason,” and “advertising” also limits variety. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations, such as “contribute to weight gain” and “promote unhealthy eating,” and check spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “as well.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction occur across the response. For instance, “other reasons … that plays” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “the trend of obesity is majorly increases” combines verb forms incorrectly. Some sentences also run together, making relationships between clauses harder to follow. Practise building complex sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause, and check singular/plural agreement and verb patterns. More accurate control of these structures would make your reasoning clearer.
