A big problem faced by some societies is obesity in which imbalance in BMI level occurs. some of the people in society believe that junk food advertising is the main cause and it should be banned while others thinks that junk food advertising not causing problem and should not be banned. also feel the same there is no need to ban junk food advertising for obesity.

The obesity issue increasing day by day due to imbalance in personal and professional life of some people. which is also leading to other health risks associated with it like BP and blood sugar and to control this risks doctors always suggest patients to control the intake of junk food. this are one of mouth watering food types, if patients with obesity watch advertisements of it they hardly control to take it and start eating. that is why some people thinks they should be banned. in example one of my relative facing the obesity problem, once i went to mall with her she somewhere saw crispy chicken wings advertisement and ordered it, despite of being patient of obesity just sake of cravings.

However, remaining people feel junk food advertising not contributing to the problem, as doctor suggest they should do proper exercise and eat their suggested meal. if obesity patients take proper diet every time in day. they may control their cravings despite of watching adds. so it is totally in persons hand to control themselves so there is no need to ban advertisements of junk food. if they re banned their is loss of their business also which can affect financial need of many people. in example, if my obesity patient relative ate proper diet in home, she could control her cravings.

In conclusion, some obesity patient can not control their cravings after watching advertisements so some people thinks it should be banned, while others feel it is depend on themselves to follow proper workout routine and their diet, there is no need to ban junk food advertisements.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state your own position, particularly in the opening and conclusion, where you argue that advertising need not be banned because people can manage their diet and exercise. The example of your relative responding to a chicken-wings advertisement supports the argument that advertising can trigger cravings. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the case against a ban is explained mainly through personal responsibility and possible business losses, without showing how strongly advertising may or may not affect obesity across society. Your position is also not fully consistent, since you say you “also feel the same” as those opposing a ban, but the first body paragraph gives substantial support to banning advertisements. Explain your view clearly and develop each side with more relevant reasoning and evidence.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several links are mechanical or inaccurate. For example, “which is also leading” begins a fragment, while “However, remaining people” does not clearly identify the group being contrasted. The repeated example of your relative in both body paragraphs also limits development rather than advancing the discussion. Use clearer topic sentences, connect each explanation directly to the view it supports, and avoid repeating the same example. More precise referencing and transitions would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “obesity,” “advertising,” “cravings,” “proper exercise,” and “health risks,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making ideas harder to understand. Examples include “imbalance in BMI level,” “mouth watering food types,” and “financial need of many people.” The repeated use of “junk food,” “people,” and “proper” also makes the writing less precise. Aim for more natural expressions such as “unhealthy eating habits,” “tempting food advertisements,” and “livelihoods,” and check spelling and word forms, including “advertisements” rather than “adds.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses and connectives, as in “if patients with obesity watch advertisements of it they hardly control to take it,” but complex sentences are often faulty and the overall range is limited. Errors in agreement and verb forms occur frequently: “others thinks,” “the obesity issue increasing,” and “doctor suggest” should use correctly formed verbs. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent; for instance, “which is also leading to other health risks” is a fragment, and several sentences begin with lowercase letters. Articles, plurals, and possessives also need attention, as in “in example” and “persons hand.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with correctly controlled clauses.
