Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowdays, junk food plays an important role in a modern world. We can easily see junk food stalls and their advertisemnents everywhere.Ther are some people who thinks these advertisments are the main reason of obesity while others do not think like them. In this essay, i will look at the both views and give my opinion in the end.
Food advertising is very important for people to run their business.but, some people blame them for their obesity. This is becasue whenever they see any advertisement related to junk food , they can not control on themselves and ending up buying it. Secondly, junk food is not healthy for their health as it contains high quantity of oil and other unhealthy product which makes people sick and cause many health issues. Therefore, they should not advertise these of foods in society.
On the other hand, Others do not think in a same way. According to them , advertising is very important for business. For instance, if anyone opens a new business , with the help of advertising people easily know about the business and what they are going to sell. if they do not advertise, how he will able to run his business. Secondly , people easily get to know about menu and location of any junk food they want to get. So, it is convienient for them.
In conclusion, both have their valid reason.Although, advertising is very crucial for any business and in my opinion, people should promote their junk foods through advertisements along with the ingrdients they are using. It helps to aware people what they are eating and they will be careful about their health and obesity concerns.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both positions: the first body paragraph explains that advertising can prompt people to buy unhealthy food, while the second gives business-related reasons to allow it. Your conclusion also states a position—advertising should continue if ingredients are disclosed—so the response addresses the main parts of the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that viewers “can not control on themselves” needs explanation or a concrete example, and the business argument focuses more on convenience and awareness than on whether advertising contributes to obesity. Your final proposal about listing ingredients is relevant, but you do not explain how this would address the health risks. Develop the link between advertising, eating habits and obesity, and make your position clearer throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. This makes the discussion easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” help identify shifts in argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: both body paragraphs rely on “Secondly,” and the ideas are not always connected through explanation. For example, the point that advertising helps customers find a menu and location does not clearly lead back to the question of obesity. Some references, such as “them” in “some people blame them,” are not immediately precise. Use a wider range of linking methods and make each supporting point explicitly connect to the central issue.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “obesity,” “advertisement,” “unhealthy,” “ingredients,” and “health issues.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “high quantity of oil.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “control on themselves,” “these of foods,” and “aware people.” Spelling errors such as “Nowdays,” “advertisments,” “convienient,” and “ingrdients” are noticeable and reduce precision. Aim to learn common collocations for this topic and proofread spelling. More precise terms such as “influence purchasing decisions” or “nutritional information” would help express the argument more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a conditional question about what would happen if a business did not advertise. However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make sentences difficult to read. Examples include “some people who thinks,” “if anyone opens a new business,” followed by “how he will able,” and “it helps to aware people.” Articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries also need attention; for instance, “Food advertising is very important for people to run their business.but” joins sentences incorrectly. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and checking each sentence for a complete verb. Clearer punctuation and more reliable control of complex clauses would improve accuracy.
