Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that junk food advertising is largely blame for obesity problem, while others contend that it does not contribute to the problem. In my view, although advertising plays major role in business, I firmly believe that advertising junk food should be banned because it influences people to eat non healthy food and that brings major health problems.
On the one hand, a primary argument in favor of advertising is that it does not contribute to problem of obesity and it should not be banned. In other words, advertising plays pivot role in business and marketting, reaching out to many people that helps for business and economy. A prime example of this can be seen in masala brands like badshaah, by advertising they grow and now in every home there is badshaah masala. Consequently, investigating in advertising is good for business and should not be banned.
On the other hand, it is equally crucial to recognize that advertising plays negative role in people's mind, influencing non healthy foods to consume. This is largely because the creative outcome of marketting, visuals that attract to eat junk food. For instance, lays have amazing visual packaging and creative advertising that attract to eat more chips. Therefore, junk food advertising should be banned that they play major role in obesity.
In conclusion, while advertising is major part of business, i maintain that it should be banned for junk food marketing. Ultimately, prioritizing good food will yield the greated long term benefits for good health.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You discuss both positions and state a clear view: you support banning junk-food advertising because it can influence eating habits and harm health. The two body paragraphs also include relevant examples, such as the masala brand and Lay’s packaging. However, the opposing view is not fully explained: the point that advertising supports business and the economy does not clearly show why it does not contribute to obesity. Your own case is more directly relevant, but the link between attractive advertising, increased consumption and obesity is asserted rather than developed with evidence or a fuller explanation. To strengthen the response, explain the reasoning behind each side and make the examples demonstrate their claims more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow. Some connections between ideas are less clear or mechanical, however. For example, “Consequently” introduces a conclusion about advertising being good for business, but the example does not establish that advertising has no effect on obesity. The phrase “Therefore” similarly moves quickly from attractive packaging to a ban without explaining the intervening link. Use cohesive devices to show the actual reasoning, and develop each paragraph around a clear claim followed by explanation and relevant support.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “obesity,” “influencing,” “creative,” “visuals” and “long term benefits,” and the main ideas remain understandable. There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural choices that limit precision, such as “largely blame,” “pivot role,” “investigating in advertising” and “non healthy food.” Spelling and word-form control also need attention in “marketting” and “greated.” Some phrases repeat “advertising” and “business” without adding much nuance. Aim to learn common collocations and check spelling and word forms; more precise expressions would help you explain the relationship between marketing, food choices and health more convincingly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause in the opening (“although advertising plays…”) and a reason clause beginning “This is largely because…”. The overall meaning is generally clear, but some grammatical errors recur. Articles and noun phrases are missing or incomplete in “for obesity problem” and “plays major role”; the construction “influencing non healthy foods to consume” is not grammatically complete; and “should be banned that they play major role” does not express the intended relationship correctly. Capitalisation is also inconsistent, as in “i” in the conclusion. Review articles, sentence patterns after verbs such as “influence,” and punctuation, then proofread to make complex sentences more controlled.
