In some societies being obese is consider serious problem. Some people think junk food advertisment is to be blame and they should be banned while others believe that advertising is not the cause of obesity so it should not be banned. Some peo
Junk food is a major contribution of the obesity problem with various studies supporting this claim. Societies that consume the most junk food tend to have more obese people. Obesity is one of the major problem in USA and USA is one the major consumer of junk food. Some people suggest that advertising junk food is one of the major cause of obesity and i totally agree with them. The more marketing they do about whichever food, the more consumer will want that food. There is so much go behind the advertisment of a certain food, for example there is a study which suggests that red color make people more hungry, that is why you will see most food brands will have red color in their logo and red will be the main color even in their ad. There is also a trend of false advertising e.g using different term which for the unhealthy product used in the product so most people do not understand what brand is using in the product. So, the more advertisement and marketing they do about junk food the more it will sell and the more people consume junk food the more obese they will get. I do not believe that advertising about junk food should be banned but in my opinion it should be more direct and clear about it effects.
However, some people believe marely advertising about a certain food does not mean they are forcing people to eat more junk food so it can should not be banned as it is not causing any harm to anyone however studies tell us that advertising and marketing can even affect people pschologically so the mere point of advertisment isnt contributing to the problem of obesity in the literal sense should not even be the point.
In conclusion, banning advert or marketing is not the solution but making brand be more clear about the products they use and their effect on average human should clearly be mentioned so people can be aware of what effect can a junk food have on them.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear personal view: advertising should not be banned, but its effects should be stated more directly. You also present reasons on both sides, including the influence of marketing and the argument that advertising does not force people to eat particular foods. However, the discussion is uneven: the first position receives much more explanation, while the opposing view is brief and difficult to follow. Some support, such as the comparison between US junk-food consumption and obesity, is asserted rather than demonstrated, and the red-colour example does not fully establish that advertising causes obesity. Develop both views more evenly and explain how your examples support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Linking expressions such as “However” and “In conclusion” also signal changes in direction. Nevertheless, progression within paragraphs is often unclear. The first body paragraph moves from national consumption to advertising, colour, false claims, and your opinion without a consistently clear sequence. The second paragraph combines several ideas in one long sentence, making the opposing argument hard to follow. The opening also ends with the incomplete fragment “Some peo”. Use one main point per paragraph, connect each example explicitly to that point, and check that every sentence is complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “obesity,” “marketing,” “consumer,” “false advertising,” and “psychologically.” These choices show an attempt to discuss causes and effects rather than relying only on basic terms. However, the range is limited by repeated words such as “advertising,” “junk food,” and “major,” and several inaccurate forms or collocations make the writing less natural: “major contribution of the obesity problem,” “to be blame,” and “more consumer.” Spelling errors such as “advertisment” and “marely” are also noticeable. Build a wider set of precise expressions for describing influence, responsibility, and health consequences, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures such as “The more marketing they do … the more consumer will want that food” and a relative clause beginning “which suggests.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Examples include “being obese is consider serious problem,” “USA is one the major consumer,” and “the more people consume junk food the more obese they will get.” The second body paragraph contains a particularly difficult sentence with “so it can should not be banned,” where the sentence structure breaks down. Practise accurate verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, and divide long sentences when needed.
